  1. Better than the Sedins? Come on old man, I like Linden too but Linden wasn't the most prolific offensive force in the league for 2-3 years. People really like to overrate this dudes play because he's a star child in terms of community outreach and demeanor. The Sedins didn't have anyone near Bure's level on their team, the closest was Luongo in net who wont help your playoff PPG or the other twin if you count it, and a twin isn't Bure either. Linden would not have been close to a PPG without playing with Bure, look at what happened when he was traded, look at how his career completely nosedived after he couldn't play with Bure. Now, he could have certainly had a better career if the Canucks didn't trade him and actually invested in him, and I'm not saying without Bure Linden would be considered a bum, but a lot of what Bure did is attributed to Linden because, especially in the 90's, people liked Canadian players a lot more than Russians. Linden is the most average, okay player that people consider to be some sort of playoff menace because he was a good guy. Kind of crazy.
  2. Legalization is a good idea but we as a country are still far away from being able to legalize things like cocaine, heroine or meth. Legalization might not stop the problem with fentanyl either depending on how it's handled. The problem is there is so much fentanyl being sold cheaply to the Canada/US from Chinese manufacturers illegal drug dealers use it as filler with more expensive drugs. A shady corporation might do something similar.
  3. There are still people in high places in the government that believe in communism and that China is communist, insane individuals with lots of power surrounded by charlatans robbing the country for all its worth. A disgusting state of affairs.
  4. I hope the RCMP is involved in this and workers will not have to ask crazy people to leave the store but that's being too optimistic. Maybe the government can subsidize security guards for businesses to help deal with the insane people that will get violent over this.
  5. You can trash Trudeau all you want though because we aren't China. I don't know what he really has to do with vaccine passports. Also, it's kind of ironic Justin made that statement and now Xi Jinping is ruining China's economy by abusing his power. All that good that was done through the economic prosperity of the Chinese people increasing might go away in a decade or so.
  6. The commies... Canada has a communist party and they don't have much support.
  7. Because it's effective, but enlighten me on why they're really doing it.
  8. Don't know why anyone thinks the school teacher who is prime minister because of his name and is a talking head for the cabinet is somehow an evil mastermind turning Canada into a communist tyranny through vaccine passports passed by provincial governments.
  9. Trudeau has nothing to do with BC's vaccine passport system, by the way. Why is it that being flat out wrong on so many things doesn't phase you? Trudeau is pushing vaccine passports! You're still getting them with O'Toole or Singh.
  10. At this point blaming the US for this situation is ignorant. The US afghan government was only marginally better for the people than the Taliban and war criminals need to be held accountable. But the reality is no government will ever be able to exist over the crossroads of Asia until world peace is achieved. As soon as the US declared war on Afghanistan there were thousands of groups ready to arm and train their opposition. The same will be true for the Taliban and any powerful group that claims the area. It's been the worlds playground for mercenaries and insurgents long before 9/11 or the Mujahideen.
  11. I don't care how afraid people are, an adult should have enough self awareness not to do this. It's not something defensible. It's not even a good argument, it's just downplaying what people are going through right now so he can feel better about being anti-vax.
  12. People who use things like the sex trade or racism to further their points in arguments usually are fortunate enough to have no experience with them. Which just makes it worse. Serious issues aren't your sword to attack people who take vaccines. If you are equating something to the sex trade, you better have a really, really good reason for wanting to bring up the suffering of millions of women.
  13. While women are threatened with death if they don't be good slaves for their husbands who couldn't care less about them, while women sell their bodies to eat or pay back criminal debts, while small girls are sold and traded like cards by disgusting people, let's compare vaccines to forced prostitution. What a joke of a person, hopefully he's not far gone enough that he will realize what a bone headed statement he made and repent.
  14. Hey, I'm a guy in the same age group so I was more susceptible to these side effects and was worried about my heart as well. Personally I didn't get any side effects, heart inflammation is exceedingly rare even if you're more likely to get it like us. Good thing to remember is these are easily treatable with no long term side effects, will appear within the first 2 weeks of getting your first or second dose, and it's easy to tell when you have it. If you start feeling your chest getting really tight with a radiating pain, go to an ER and you will be fine. It's a rare adverse effect but still nothing compared to what COVID can do to people is the logic here. Untreated it can kill you but thankfully we live in a time where these conditions are treatable.
  15. People who legitimately can't get a vaccine (which is a lot less than people think, these vaccines are safe for people with HIV) might have a case if their lives are somehow seriously impacted (not just I can't watch the Canucks). People who get side effects after taking the shot to go shopping won't have a case, and neither will people who are fired because they wont get a vaccine (unless, like previously stated, they can't).
  16. Oh that makes sense then, you're much more qualified to talk about the deep and complex interactions of the law around vaccine passports. I'm sorry I didn't respect the power of your digger and concrete truck.
  17. What's so hard to understand my real estate rich friend? No one will win any case against the BC government over this vaccine passport.
  18. Me? No, like I said, my sister and all her colleagues. I'm sure mr real estate baron that you're really good at making money off of the housing crisis but that has nothing to do with: 1. Medicine 2. Science 3. Law
  19. Yes you wont bet because you know you're wrong. Thanks for finally admitting it. You don't know $&!# about law but the superiority complex and misplaced self confidence you have makes sense now, you made money off your daddy being rich and buying property instead of developing a skill. So either make the bet with me or shut up about your non-sense opinion on the law at least. Go back to being wrong about science and posting journals that disprove your own points, it's much easier to handle for the sane people here.
  20. Easier to fake when the government has a database of people who have taken their shots, harder to enforce and even more pointless strain on the medical system. It's not feasible.
  21. Tired talking about your bull$&!#, let's make that bet. 20K? 100K? I love betting when you don't need collateral.
  22. The internet as a whole did not replace libraries. Specific databases are used for research, which normal people don't have access to.
  23. I bet your friends firm is personal injury or ICBC claims based. Commendable and still hard to do but nothing compared to challenging a provincial mandate through the charter, which is what you're saying will happen. It won't, by the way. Because any big companies in Kelowna bring their business to downtown Vancouver firms, law in BC is very centralized. Any lawyers outside of Vancouver or Victoria will probably admit they aren't the best or most competitive. Now lets make that bet. Any amount you want, I like free money. No one will ever win a case against the BC government based on being under "duress" for taking the vaccine.
  24. Downtown lawyer that has been in front of the BC supreme court or some backwater "firm" in Kelowna. If you know anything about law you'd know the difference in ability here. If he exists, that is. But seriously, I would bet you any amount of money no one will even try to sue the government for this because of how $&!# of a case it is. Maybe for publicity some person will take a losing case, but no one who passed the bar would seriously look at such a case as winnable.
