Yikes. Throw away picks? Benn, Gudreau, Datsyuk, Zetterberg, etc were all throw away picks. I actually think it was to much. What Toronto needs but to much imo but it's the deadline so what do you do.

Fair point but after covid19 outbreak I'm not expecting much. In Calgary who knows wtf is going on there and Ottawa is trash. As for Price he hasn't been the best goalie for the habs for much of the year.

Right. Seriously though how long do you have the two best players in the game and not surround them with some talent? Poolparty is junk without McDavid and Kahun is not a top 6 winger.

Ottawa- Dadonov, not worth a first imo. Calgary- Monahan, probably a 1st plus. Vancouver- Just don't see us getting their 1st. Or a US team and wait the 7 days. Iafello or Rakell? Probably a 1st and Baer. Or nothing at all. I have a feeling Monday will be slow.

@Coconuts I also suggested Baer simply because they have like 8 nhl ready D. But probably would use him for a top 6 winger.

I don't think anyone suggested that. I hoped for 3rd rounder but if memory serves I don't think Edmonton has a 2nd or 3rd this year.

Yes, Ethan. I'm doubtful myself but if they got desperate I would surely like him here. I suggested that in another thread. Virtanen to Edmonton, with his speed he may thrive with McDavid. I doubt they give a first though. Edmonton has some high end prospects as well but I imagine they are untouchable.

I can understand your POV however I would prefer a 3rd round pick if we could get it for Sutter. Glendening is great at faceoffs but that's about it.

Edmonton is in need of a decent bottom 6 centre. The names that keep getting rumored are Glendening and Sutter.
