Yeah! And Wtf is Green doing - I haven't seen him do any post game press conferences these past 2 months. Guy is just phoning it in apparently. No wonder we lost tonight! -

Tbh I think it's probably interesting for him - he's going to get to weigh in on how to rebuild this deeply flawed roster. -

Thats a pretty reasonable point, its hard to disagree with any of that. One thing that is clear - if we load up on picks and prospects for the 2022 and 2023 drafts, we'll have some very high quality players on ELCs between 2026-2028, which is definitely a recipe for success. And as long as we dont lose Ian Clarke, we can find the next Demko too, though I expect he'll still be in his prime age 28-32. -
Really hoping they move Dickinson and Poolman too but idk if they're willing to give up the assets required to unload those contracts.

Really depends on when JR/PA want to contend. If its 2-3 years from now, we aren't going to be better having moved Miller. We have Petey, Hughes, and Demko on reasonable contracts going into their primes, so I think it makes sense to try to win in that window. Boeser could fetch a good return, and a great one if they move him at the deadline Myers would get a mid round pick simply because of the position he plays and that hes been decent this year Motte gets a great return at the deadline Rathbone could be exchanged for a NHL ready defensive defender, to a team thats looking for their future powerplay quarterback Pearson probably gets a decent return at the deadline if he's willing to move Dickinson and Poolman could be moved if we gave up some picks that we got from moving the above Theres enough there I think to rebuild the blue line and get some more speed into the forward core -

The records under Green vs Boudreau are night and day, not even comparable, and yet with the same roster. The Canucks have unquestionably played far better under Boudreau. That said, they're still not good enough. Under Boudreau, they've played to the potential of their roster, which is a fringe playoff team with a lot of talent upfront, that has to outscore their leaky blue line, or hope they get bailed out by their goalie. More than anything the team needs 2 things: 1. More speed up front - we have 2 puck moving defensemen capable of making on the tape stretch passes, but our forward core is generally too slow moving up the ice to take advantage. It also means they're too slow to backcheck effectively. This can be resolved by moving Brock and Pearson, and getting speedier alternatives like Domi. 2. 2 defensively responsible defensemen - ideally one shutdown (to play with OEL), and one that can skate who can play with Hughes. Myers has to be moved, and Hunt and Schenn cant be in the top 6. Schenn is too slow and just gets walked around. Hunt is a perfectly reasonable fill-in for injuries. -

I still have faith OEL can give us production if we give him a stay at home defense partner. -

Schenn = too slow Myers = too slow OEL = getting slower.. Hughes and Hamonic defend decently well but other than that... -

The physicality is nice, but he's just too slow - you saw how he got beat on that last chance and barely bailed out by Hughes -

Hughes is good, OEL isn't moveable, Hamonic is an okay non-liability defenseman. The other 3 spots have to be revamped. Ship out Myers, Schenn should be our 7th defenseman, Hunt should be our 8th. We need 2 top-4 defensive defensemen, and a bottom pairing left shot (maybe Rathbone if he's paired with Hamonic, with some sheltered minutes?) -

Literally all perimeter shots because our zone entries are so slow and right into the middle of their defenders -

Idk why those guys are talking about benching Demko after that, it makes 0 sense to give up on the game with 40 minutes to go if you're down 3-0. The game is a must win, these guys are out to lunch. -

I dont see them trading Garland - he fits exactly what the team needs and wants. We dont get anything for Poolman, Chiasson, or Dickinson - we'd need to give assets to get a team to take those (so realistically those moves if they happen would be in the offseason to a team that wants to tank for picks) Motte probably goes at the deadline Hopefully Boeser goes at the deadline Halak has a No movement clause, he's not going anywhere We cant afford to trade away Hamonic, he's the only defensive defenseman we have -

We're simply too slow and our blue line is too leaky. -

Ouch that's too expensive for a defensive defenseman. Tanev's contract should have been the comparable. Overpayment for way too long, short and long term probably wont be a good contract imo. -
