  1. Looks like Horvat's looking at 8mil per year. Horvat, Kuzmenko, Bear. It's gonna be a hard offseason unless JR pulls off some nice moves.
  2. Stay put. I really do wonder what's going to happen to Horvat's contract though. It sounds like JR might trade Horvat. Will it be tempting if the return is something like Severson, Nemec, 1st + 2nd.
  3. As said, I was replying to your original post which never mentioned center... You cant add things in between to try to win an argument lol. Pettersson is Selke worthy? Now you are just making things up lol.
  4. lol.. you never mentioned centers, nice reply. As said, if you think Pettersson is a superstar, every other team has a player or players with this kind of production/play level.
  5. I dont get this pick as well... All of our younger players (Pettersson/Hughes/Boeser/Hoglander) are featherweight and soft. So... let's add to that?
  6. Because... Pettersson is great but if hes a superstar, almost every other team has a superstar on their team. Hughes, should see better in 1-2 years. Miller/Horvat A lot of teams play top line players on their "second line" as well. Pastnak, Marner, Svechnikov, Stamko's on the 2nd line. The great thing about a rising rookie is because they are young. Kuzmenko is 26...
  7. Really dont mind this trade. Could take a gamble on Fabbro if the price is Garland. This way, we dont have to decide every game to waive Podkolzin or Hoglander.
  8. Horvat's 2nd in the league in goals and Nashville's been craving centers for a decade. Glass at this point, may be a bust. That value is too low.
  9. So the good news is actually we have a better record than last season through 1st 20 games. I guess playoffs isn't out of range that way.
  10. It wasnt a good deal, it was a hockey deal that had big risks with the OEL contract, but 90% of CDC were showering the deal with praises at the time. The 1st rounder is #9 to boot. Benning just took it in the hopes that OEL will play like the #1 Dman that he was and Garland will play like a top 6 and the trade can make this a playoff/contending team. Hes a gambler and lost the bet.
  11. Stillman's on the ice for the 2 of the last 3 goals against. Coincidence? I THINK NOT!
  12. JR's never been a D guy. Look at the D core over the years at Pittsburgh. He relies on "system" for defense so he can stack up on forwards every TDL.
  13. WHY IS STILLMAN PLAYING? THAT PASS DOWN THE MIDDLE STRAIGHT TO LA KING PLAYER'S STICK IN FRONT OF THE GOAL WASNT ENOUGH?
  14. Canucks fans just drool at adding more and more players without the revelant concept of roster size and the importance of ice time allocation to a young player's development nor the slightest hint that if a player has been bounced around a few teams already that has taken a good look at them and released them, there is a good chance they are not good players.
  15. ? Gillis era was amazing. We were division champions for the 5 straight years and were considered cup contenders instead of the disappoint/underachievement of the past 10 years. Are you ok?
  16. Touching the puck before a goal goes in doesnt mean hes been playing well.. This is coming from a Boeser fan lol. The points hes been getting are not nice plays, most of them are just cycling back to the point....
  17. What's another proposal without Hoglander!? For CDCers being so high on Hoglander, people sure like trading him.
  18. Pretty amazing we have invested so much in this team, and it has a worse record than freaking Arizona which is playing other team's cap dumps as their top 6.
  19. I think they are pretty high on Jarvis, the chances of that package is very low.
  20. Funny we could have signed Horvat for 7mil in the summer. Now hes going to command more than that. Is this a failure of the management? Not sure.
  21. I still remember people on here would say that we didn't start our rebuild since 2016 or 2017 so that we wouldn't look bad rebuilding for so many years. Fact is we haven't been competitive since 2011.
  22. Management was freaking out they couldn't trade Miller so they drooled when Miller accepted 7million AAV. Should have pulled the trigger at last year's TDL, not chase the playoffs in which we had like a 5% chance of making. No previous regime ties down a new one. They are the current regime and have the power to change things and turn a new page. All these tied down by previous regimes are just pathetic excuses.
