  1. When you are saying high or low, you are talking about expectations of the player on the ice or the trade value of the player lol? I have been talking about trade value all along. Hoglander's simply not worth that much if we dangle him in a trade. On the ice, I am all hands cheering for him. I hope he breaks out and solidify our 3rd/2nd line. In fact one of my favorite players is Brayden Point. If Hoglander could somehow turn into playing like Point that would be amazing.
  2. lol just stop being so high on our mediocre players. Just like Gaudette and Virtanen, who were trending much better than Hoglander but are now a bunch of nobodies after they left the Canucks. There's a reason Hoglander is in every other trade proposal: Hes expendable, but CDC wishes to get "high value" back for him. If we couldn't move Gaudette for anything major, I dont know why people are proposing we get juicy pieces like Durzi/Anderson back, that's the point of the post.
  3. so.. Im just wondering.. Karlsson and Aman seems to be in the lineup. So did we just trade a 2nd away so we can free up roster spots to keep Karlsson and Aman? Both players doesnt stand out to me at all. But both are Swedish and Allvin is Swedish. Too much Swedish love?
  4. And the point of the topic is... LA will trade Sean Durzi Lias Anderson for Hoglander's "potential in CDC eyes" when they probably haven't even heard of him before. They'd much rather stick with Anderson #7 drafted, someone they actually traded for.
  5. And why would anyone be high on Hoglander again...? 5 feet 9 scored 10 goals last season. You can basically stick any star AHLer in those minutes and produce the same.
  6. The main point is to dump Dickinson's contract. Stillman is just an extra to get something back. Something like Blackhawks wouldn't go lower than a 2nd, so we ask for a depth defensemen back so the trade doesn't look so bad.
  7. Reality: Takes a 2nd to dump Dickinson. CDC proposals: Pearson and Poolman for value back!
  8. lol... This guy haven't even won a playoff round. He can score 70 goals all he wants, but hes useless if he cant win anything and take away 15-20% of a team's cap. The GM who bends the knee to that is just burdening his own team.
  9. Smart move. A lot of times Robertson is just jumping on loose pucks and taking a shot - he may not be a legit superstar. Kind of like Boeser actually.
  10. Yeah, NJ would make that trade if they are on Canuck's payroll. Secretly accept 2 capdumps, and gift Canucks a top 4 RHD for.... Hoglander.
  11. You know why we never develop in house defensemen? Because we are "going for it" every year. So the management/coaching staff never plays inexperienced defensemen. Even if they are called up, they don't get the role and minutes. We'd rather hire stopgaps like Brad Hunts each year and play them instead of developing, because we must make the playoffs. Someone like Brisebois's been stuck in AHL for 6 years and got only 10 NHL games with us even though during that time there were ample oppotunities where we had injuiries or lost seasons (like last year) we could have given him more play time.
  12. wow.. this is dense. When there is more demand than supply, the price will raise. Prices are raising because there is a a lack of refining capacity. You saying that the article is simplistic because "you know" crude prices went down is simplistic in itself. You didn't know that more goes into gas prices other than crude. You are the one who brought in the word "shortage" to boost your argument lol. There are different strengths to shorages, no? It just doesn't happen suddenly. The first sign of a shortage is when the prices start to go up, no? Why do I have to spell out what a shortage is to you just because you want to pretend to be right lol... Do you know what a refinery is? Do you know there is lack of capacity? It's already been a few days since you say gas prices will go down because crude is down, has it happened? Crude went even further down since, so why hasn't what you said happened? Sure, keep trying.
  13. Abuse aside since that is not proven... Wants the husband to pay for the children's university but wont tell the husband which university they go to lol...
  14. At some point they should just take a 50% caphit and trade Bobrobsky. Hes playing like a 5million goalie any way.
  15. lol you really shouldnt post about something you have little knowledge about. When have you heard of a gasoline shortage? Well when the price of something raises, it's supply and demand in the works, or the "shortage" you are saying. Yes, there is a refinery capacity problem in North America, it's been widely publicated.
  16. There's actually such a thing with refinery shortage. So even if there is enough crude, there's not enough refineries for the crude. Pretty sure the article is written with this prior knowledge.
  17. Yeah Erik Johnson's 6mil is coming off their books next year. They are basically giving the money they save there to MacKinnon.
  18. Rangers are good at selling their assets. Something this organization solely lacks. The Burrows and Hansen trade was the only glimpse of light.
  19. lol just a horribly flawed post. 1. Top 5 is just your opinion. Even if we do have a top 5 forward/goalie group that is on paper, if they do not perform because of reasons like the structure, defensive lapses, morale due to poor defense coverage, then what you say is again moot. Top 5 is about performance. If Demko is top 5 in svs % and GAA, fair enough. Or else, you can be Carey Price who was the #1 goalie for a long time and still not make the playoffs every year. 2. This is the same team we have had for the last 2 seasons except for a few additions which arent even core. So if what you say is so great, why werent we even a playoff team lol. 3. The point is to win in the playoffs, not make the playoffs....
  20. Caufield for 8million would be rofl... Suddenly everyone's a superstar and should be signed to 8-10 million lol.
  21. RNH was underpaid because Oilers is gunning for the cup with McDavid/Draisaitl with no cap to spare. If he goes to the UFA market, he is worth 6-6.5mil/year. Last 2 seasons RNH scored 16 and 11 goals. Horvat has 19 and 31 goals. RNH is also soft, Horvat is much more resourceful.
  22. I just realized this post is 1200 pages.. How da hell do you guys manage to talk 1200 pages on this topic.. This could only happen on CDC.
  23. Gadjovich just earned a new contract and is sticking around in the NHL. Nothing much nothing less. No need to put down on him so you can feel good about yourself thinking Canucks made another great move lol.
  24. ? Romanov is going to play top 4 minutes for Islanders may be even 1st pairing. At 2.5mil that's a steal. Do you even know what you are talking about before posting lol.
  25. Uhhh.. I really cant see a team like Avalanche or Tampa Bay putting Pearson in their lineup. Hes not fast, not gritty, not a relentless forechecker and definitely not top 6.
