Other than the points Provost has pointed out. Virtanen is on pace for 24 goals 46 points, and you guys think he will take a 2.75mil contract.
-
Not a bad proposal. We do lose a 30 goal scorer though and the pieces coming back doesnt exactly add up to 30 goals.

[Report] Connor McDavid out 2-3 weeks

Draisaitl is gonna carry. That guy is a beast this season. -
[Signing] Rangers sign Artemi Panarin
Drakrami replied to -Vintage Canuck-'s topic in Trades, Rumours, Signings
This was a great signing, Panarin is absolutely one of the top players in the league and he is proving it this season on a new team. The Rangers thought they had shortened and were stepping out of their rebuild. But not this year, may be next or the year after. -
[PGT] Calgary Flames at Vancouver Canucks | Feb. 08, 2020
Drakrami replied to -Vintage Canuck-'s topic in Canucks Talk
Schaller can fight. He doesnt do it because he thinks this team is not worth it. Hes just waiting for his next contract with another team. And yet the management doesnt notice this and still gives him that roster spot with 10 minutes a game. For someone who isn't producing, nor contributing physically. In place of a handful of deserving players whom we have buried in the AHL. Boucher, Baertschi, Goldobin, Lind, Bailey. Same with Eriksson taking a roster spot. -
[Proposal] ANA - VAN Trade Deadline

what's this... choose 2 players from the Ducks you like and throw a bunch of scraps + cap dump at them and hope it sticks? -
Quinn Hughes closer to the Calder, Currently sits Number 1 in points
Drakrami replied to Arrow 1983's topic in Canucks Talk
I dont know which 5-6 games you have watched. But to say that Makar doesnt impact the game as much as Hughes is meh. Makar is praised universally across the league. People hardly know Hughes outside of the Canucks circle. Not taking a hard side here. Just pointing out facts. And from the highlights of Makar i have seen that dude makes high percentage controlled plays; thats what impresses me. -
Quinn Hughes closer to the Calder, Currently sits Number 1 in points
Drakrami replied to Arrow 1983's topic in Canucks Talk
Calder is Makar's to lose. Hughes on the other hand, freaking amazing. Our core is looking very good with the emergence of Hughes. Hopefully Juolevi, Woo and etc... pans out. -
[Signing] Oilers re-sign Zack Kassian
Drakrami replied to -Vintage Canuck-'s topic in Trades, Rumours, Signings
Glad Oilers are paying Kassian. He has grown into a respectable player. His baseball swing that broke Gagner's face was still facepalm though. -
What makes you say that other than he is tall? He was here a few years ago, wasn't very good, and bolted to KHL. Stecher on the other hand is NHL proven, gives it his all every game, and a warrior. If you are just going by if they are tall, they are good for the playoffs, Gudbranson is pretty good too no? Tall, physical, good at fighting, drafted top 3.

[Proposal] Sending Boeser Home
Drakrami replied to Nicklas Bo Hunter's topic in Proposals and Armchair GM'ing
If we are doing something remotely like that, we better be getting Dumba back. A Zucker for Boeser swap literally degrades our team. Dumba for Boeser 1 for 1. As much as NHL has moved on from size, I still feel uneasy going for short players. The one you mentioned with potential is 5'9. -
[Report] Anaheim Willing to Take Bad Contracts
Drakrami replied to Provost's topic in Proposals and Armchair GM'ing
Weirdest proposal ever... A real deal would look more like Ericsson for 2nd round pick -
sigh... We have 24 players on our roster and that's not counting MacEwen already.
-
We have too many players...!? And people are sounding off smart to claim Schenn off waivers in the other thread.

Proposal: Chris Kreider to the nucks!
Drakrami replied to KirkSave's topic in Proposals and Armchair GM'ing
1. We dont have cap, and i dont see Benning pulling off some strong handed cap shedding move. 2. A 28year old Kreider is going for a 1st at the TDL which beats out the pieces you have proposed; and on top of that you want NYR to take Sutter's as a cap dump? 3. We would be without 1st/2nd round picks for the next 2 years. Contenders with a good core does this by trying to get on top to win a Stanley Cup. We are selling out our future because we want to make the playoffs and may be win a round or 2.... ? -
Mathieu Perreault comments on Virtanen (interviewed in a salt mine)
Drakrami replied to -SN-'s topic in Canucks Talk
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bi72cT_q4MY Here's a better video. Perreault does have a point. Seems like the players are revolting and together calling out the league lol. This is not a Virtanen problem, more like a league problem.
