  1. And totally upsets our current salary structure when it comes to how we reward/regard our players. New era tho so that’s all put the window I guess
  2. Plus I don’t want to look at his gargantuan head/helmet all the time.
  3. I don’t think he’s playing for the paycheque. By all accounts he’s a character guy, likely just a little demoralized and justifiably so. ARZ is the NHL’s landfill. it’s where careers get put to pasture and any new ones built aren’t given full resources to execute. they only excel if they are significantly talented like Keller and Chychrun. He’s having a down year but I imagine on another team he’d be rejuvenated. I guess we’ll see soon enough (and how regarded he is by the price paid for someone to obtain him)
  4. The right thing is to definitely not look for a return from TO. Just wait it out and see who becomes desperate. Still a month away and injuries across the league will happen, as will other trades, both of which should help define on our path with Miller.
  5. Lets hope this translates into a 6x6 contract
  6. As long as the truck isn't sporting a set of those ridiculously stupid truck nuts i totally agree.
  7. Yes and then ship Marner back out somewhere for what we really need. No Laffs rejects please. They all come with entitlement issues, haha jk
  8. ...this is when i wish it was the training camps of old and clowns like this would literally have to fight for their roster spot
  9. To defend EddieVedder his answer should probably be: ”Even flow, thoughts arrive like butterflies”
  10. probably going to try and pitch it as some reality tv series crap. guy's a show business act now, not a hockey player
  11. A deal for Kapanen shouldn't involve anyone higher on the depth chart than Pearson and a 3rd round pick.
  12. partially agree, and its a long shot, so i'll put my perspective to rest. If mgmt trades for him, you can all blame me for my attempts at cosmic manifestation.
  13. Yeah it'd be hard to lose that 1st for sure. But what do we gain? A bonafide NHL young Dman who with some of his production might make that 1st even less valuable. One thing to always consider/remember in all of these proposals is that drafting is by no means a guarantee. Except for the ELC cap relief and bridge deal scenarios which literally buy time, its still a major gamble that you'll even have a talent that you can develop into an NHL player. When you're getting a guy at 23 who can already participate at the level Chychrun has shown, I think the 1st is valid. The big question is do we need him? From my perspective, if QH or OEL goes down, we are F'd. There is no one else who can guarantee offense from the backend. I want a team that is balanced, that can push through the inevitable injury plague and keep relative pace in the standings. We are almost always 1 or 2 injuries away from being in serious trouble. As well, if QH hits a slump, again, we are in deep doo doo. We have some cheap young talent in the F group that just need more time to develop. In that span, we really should focus on giving this D as much of an overhaul as we can and create a real solid group instead of some patchwork crap we have seen for a few seasons now.
  14. That's it, Alfred. I'm gonna find you and shave you bald during this winter freeze so that your Melmacian pecans disappear into your body cavity.
  15. Here’s the question though. How many folks actually watch Yotes games and are aware of how poor their play is on occasion? How much of a minus was QH again last year, hmmmm? -24 year before that? -10 doesnt mean squat when the team you’re playing for plays like garbage.
  16. And is also a big boy who can play physical. +/- means nothing when you play for ARZ
  17. Hmmmm…Who did it belong to previously? can we sell it on eBay to recoup some cap $?
