  1. Hahahahahahahhhaahahhhaaaahahahaaaaaaaaa…….nope.
  2. He’s a sack of farts who’s “movement” report seems to originate from his bowels. I guess we’ll see…..does he become an insider if he’s correct? The next Eklund silhouette on TSN’s trade deadline day show?
  3. Maybe thats the problem. Try not looking at it as 1st - 3rd pairings and try another approach of balanced, equitable TOI lines on D. If we begin this retooling by shoring up the offense from D, we then focus part of our other trade assets to pick up the R side shut down Dmen we need. this D needs an overhaul regardless. we have some contracts that are hard to move, and also use significant cap space, so if we are retaining these guys, let’s use them effictively. So what if the money spent on the back end is high…if it becomes arguably one of the top 5 d corps in the league then it’s absolutely worth it. Imagine Demko with a formidable, balanced D in front of him.
  4. Our goals from the back end are seriously lacking. One of the biggest complaints this season so far has been the lack of O production from anyone other than QH
  5. How would you feel about playing on a team with allllll the issues ARZ had and with the only intention of getting worse, purposefully. do you think your play would be consistent when your organizations whole existence is inconsistent and up in the air? Especially when as a potential star player you’re being expected to carry the offense on what amounts to an AHL club with some vet presence? it sucks. Especially when you have the talent to be something bigger, but mgmt keeps trading away any of the pieces that could compliment your growth. in almost any other scenario, Chychrun slots into your top 3 D immediately at only 23 years old.
  6. He’s 23 and coming in at a great team friendly term contract and has already shown top 2 Dman potential. What more could you ask for? he’s already a certainty.
  7. Posted this in the proposal thread I created. deal I offered was Rathbone, Hoggie, Dipietro and 23/24 2nd rounders. That was unanimously voted down as not enough which I agree with. If it meant including a 24/1st and 23/2nd maybe that might at least get things in range? anyway here was the concept for what I’d try to do next: “It is a lot of money tied up on D, which is also a problem now, but it’s still dollars better spent, imho. and totally agree that’s a lot of mins for those other D, but in additional retooling I think we find those other 2 shut down, big bodied RHD for the future. We have to, regardless…we only have Schenn and Hammy for another year. Can’t see Schenn extended and unless Hamonic is lights out and healthy, I expect he’s gone at end of his term too, if not sooner. Poolman for whatever he can get you. Serviceable guy, but not a fit with this club going forward unfortunately. Miller and Poolman to BOS for Carlo, Debrusk, Lysell and a pick. Marchand and Miller in the playoffs would be disgusting. before anyone goes off on Lysell’s size, have to consider that not every trade is going to bring back the exact pieces we need for the moment. But he’s a former 1st round pick who is performing well and increasing his value. Plus, sign Zadorov as UFA in offseason, pending trade off of other assets and their return. In 2 years time our D is still locked in on contracts and looks like this: Hughes Carlo Chychrun OEL Myers Zadorov 6/7 - Burroughs, Woo?, UFA/trade looks nice, imho”
  8. And you know JR is salivating over reuniting with Kapanen again. Bye Tanner.
  9. This definitely changes the dynamic going forward in a HUGE way, and good effort in creating the proposal. My concern is that we are banking everything on the incoming players to develop at a more than steady incline and all reaching expected potential around the same time as well in order to justify the experience and production we have traded out. If there's any lag I don't see EP re-signing. I don't see Demko re-signing. And I expect that QH will push for a trade towards the end of his deal if what you propose above results in anything less than a 60-70% net positive return. It's a real risk that could also set the franchise back even longer than anticipated. But i get where you are going and I'm somewhat in the same boat...I'd rather root for younger, hungry players (eg. Podz) striving to make it happen and build this team chemistry/identity together as a group even if it means a few difficult seasons. If that's the case, we still can improve assets/depth through the draft. Gonna need more experience on the roster than that though, especially during the growth phase.
  10. What I don't get is why anyone values Zacha so high. If anything he's going to give us a hybrid of Boeser and Dickinson (without the physical play). It's not an upgrade.
  11. Or better yet, we need to find players who can play a full 60
  12. It’s good that there’s at least one line pushing the play, and especially it being the blue collar boys showing and proving
  13. He revealed it tonight in his interview with media. they also asked him, because he was so sour, “Darryl, who pi$$ed in your corn flakes??” Darryl replied: “I did”.
  14. He looks like he received too many cat pi$$ covered presents under the xmas tree
  15. Where were you all game? Just observing? probably prank calling Demko’s extended family.
