Definitely has been a number of regulars personally trashing him on the regular going back 2 seasons. Like I said, I can understand frustration with all the hopes pinned on him. but the reaction of some people on this board is borderline sociopathic and completely out of touch. Unfortunately what they post is more a statement about who they are versus the player they are attacking. Embarrassingly evident.

Agreed, and at the same time I don’t think anyone has probably put more pressure on themselves to perform than Brock has. No doubt he wanted to have a really good showing in the NHL as something he could dedicate to his dad as he was battling for his life. Brock never took off personal time to go home and be with family, he tried his best to play a role with this team and stay focused. Not easy given circumstance, injury and pressure. yeah he’s a professional and should act like it. And he has. Anyone doubting that is out to lunch. Getting paid to produce as you mention…15pts in 19gp. Thats the exact production you’re calling out. i also believe a change of scenery will be good for both him and this franchise, but for any fan cutting him down, at least try to be realistic when slinging that mud at him. I can appreciate fan disappointment, but projecting such frustration and resentment as though BB6 owes you something better, or worse - attacking a guy who for a few years has been dealing with a terminal illness of a family member, just shows the shitty portion of the fanbase who should get a grip, take a look in the mirror, or better yet, F right off, imho. Shitty, weak people jump on others when they are wounded. Just wish him well and be happy the divorce has come. no right at all to chastise someone who is suffering through what likely is the biggest loss of their entire life.

Other thing I’d say is if the team gets riled up because of this move, and shows some passion in solidarity with their teammate, then that begs the question why aren’t they duplicating said passion on the ice and really chasing wins??? Inherently, this team is such a paradox. Only way to resolve it is to target something tangible at the center of the cluster and open it up… BB6 is the ideal candidate unfortunately

Yes and no for me. reasons for no being because: -they have given the players ample time to prove they belong as a cohesive group -they have still spent to cap and brought in additions in some capacity that on paper looked to have strengthen and support this club (mostly on F) -without new mgmt I doubt we see Kuz sign here which could prove a very profitable 1 year investment -depends on what they get for a return and whom they decide to move once the blow up begins -they did what they said they would do; eliminate the country club atmosphere. Toxic approach? To a degree. How many times do we see a young player benched in their own hometown in their first season in NHL? Always. This club is no longer about empathy…it is now business…. to that extent, I don’t consider them toxic yet. Ruthless, definitely though.

This was obviously an intentional shot at the players from mgmt and placed a galvanized nail in the coffin of whatever identity this club had. Like a civil war breaking out internally. Ridiculous. House always wins though so I sure hope whatever iteration comes forth of this club, that PA/JR show a whole hell of a lot more with their next moves than what they’ve shown so far. Inept to a degree and borderline toxic.

Gotta say, I gave this mgmt group a lot of leeway from their inception to prove themselves…but I am starting to really get sick of the behind the scenes drama/bullshit that keeps emanating from their ranks (pun intended). Between calling out Bruce, hiring and firing Doerie, and now this (if true), it just kinda screams that this club is a real damn mess and truly embarrassing from the top down.

It’s not the worst you overdramatic Melmacian refugee. There’s far worse. Problem is, you’re focusing on the wrong angle…Aqualini has been the driving force behind most of the GMs choices in past tenures. Stick to that Sir Alfred, and regardless of how many drinks you’ve had you’ll still be on a righteous tangent.

Exactly. He’s not the prototype that some in the fanbase want him to be, but that’s really their fault for not accepting him for what he is…which is a consistent leader any way you slice it. Myself, I prefer a Linden type who will bleed for his club without hesitation, but Bo has done a great job representing this jersey and some folks should acknowledge that.

How do you know that what’s been going on. Could just be hearsay. Also, we are in a weakened position. GMs are not going to give us fair offers until they themselves are in situations like the trade deadline whereby they are more focused on improving their roster for the final push of the season. Garland is totally tradeable. Unfortunately, like the majority of recent additions to this club, he hasn’t met expectations. Imho, that’s more on the club than the individual player when you factor how many players we’ve run through trying to find needles in a haystack.

Bo is carrying this team this season as a leader should. Maybe not every category to satisfy everyone in the fan base, but he’s leading regardless. He’s also playing for his next contract. We haven’t seen this version of him all that often, save for playoffs, so the question remains why…? Regardless of opinion, he’s proven he can be dominant. Can folks just agree that we should be happy and thankful that he’s become the asset he is at a very opportune time…?
