  1. What would be really sweet would be for him and Juulsen to quickly develop chemistry as a line. That’s what we really need from our D group…consistent linemates/pairings that can read each other like second nature.
  2. Think it would have been better to play Martin. Hope I’m wrong. If this goes sideways with two inexperienced guys on D tonight it could be a confidence buster
  3. Sabres gonna get some Bonerath and fury unleashed on them tonight. He’s struttin too. BoneThug in harmony, mofos
  4. He’s not the only one who has failed to finish on some good chances. Aside from that, can’t argue that he’s been a spark plug AGAIN for this club and is one of the central parties continuing to drive this team forward through this lull. if everything about hockey was just about scoring goals or burying chances I would agree with you. but to disregard the effort made to create those chances, whether it be originating from responsible backchecking in the defensive zone, or smart positional play and good passing in the neutral and O zones, that is what should also be looked at when sussing out Hoglander so far this year. He’s actually been a gem for us, even through preseason, and yeah if he can pot some goals when he gets gifted some chances, he should be a roster regular. he’s definitely already outplaying some guys on this club who are making millions and millions more than he is. respect for Hogz.
  5. Because that argument can be made now in hindsight, that’s why. Treliving could have easily been handcuffed if Tkachuk pulled the same act as JG. Luckily the timing was perfect for CGY/FLA to link up.
  6. Can’t generalize, every human is different, and the world has changed/become more “sensitive”. One thing i do agree with though is it’s not like you have to send a telegram to stay in touch these days. No excuses that way. I would say it’s probably really revealing if you’re to throw shade or compare about someone losing a family member and how they respond to it. That’s just low and kind of ignorant. You’re just a fan and that’s where sh!t ends, ya know?
  7. For sure, it’s just a possible explanation. One of many.
  8. It’s weird. The fanbase here both overvalues and undervalues the roster at the same time and to extremes, really. if you actually think Boeser would require picks to unload him, all due respect maybe take a glance at every other roster in this league and see where he stacks up with his current contract. yes he’s underperforming, and perhaps he’s also better suited on another roster configuration, but it’s a bit short sighted to think he has such low value elsewhere. cap is going up. Teams are still signing mid 20’s players at Boeser stat margins and for similar dollars and term. It’s not just us. In fact, we got a bit of a haircut on both BB6 and JTM’s deals if you use comparables. look outside of Vancouver and you’ll see similar reference points across the league for players in that demo. do I wish we only QO’d BB6 on a show me 1 year? Absolutely!!! but his contract does not bury this team any way. That needs to be realized. JTM in 3-4 years on the other hand…
  9. Are those Luongo’s? If so they belong in the Nux museum of infamy.
  10. He’s carried the team without fail going back 3 years now and played way more minutes with less rest than most starting G’s. If he’s struggling it’s actually long overdue and deserves some respect for what he’s accomplished and that he’s going to get through it. Cmon man, let’s be honest…we’ve been so fortunate to have received pretty consistent excellence from Demko in his career. if he was playing the east this entire time he likely would have already been a top 3 finalist in Vezina voting.
