  1. While some of your points I agree with, I think you still have to ask yourself at what cost? I am very much for proven long term vaccines, but I ask you are you concerned at all about governments waiving the liability of drug manufacturing companies and do you know why they were put in place in the first place? There is currently no repercussions or consequence that would encourage the pharmaceutical industry to make sure that the long term benefits of these new vaccines don’t outweigh the short term benefits. I’ll help you out with the reason why the law requires long term testing for drugs and vaccines. It was because the original attempt at creating a polio vaccine killed 40,000 out of 40,000 within 2 years of injection. The laws were then created to make sure that everyone does their due diligence when trying to medicate people to give them health. I understand that there is antivaxxers that are purely crazy, but there is also many rational people that just want to give it more time to make sure that conditions in previous Drugs/vaccines don’t reoccur this time, things such as lung failure, hepatic conditions, renal collapse, cardiac conditions and blood cancer. I don’t think it’s unreasonable for a portion of rational, intelligent society to wait a little bit longer to see. For all we know there could be a health crisis far more great than a virus that the fuse is already lit for, but the ignition would take place for another year. That being said of you want to encourage the vaccine hesitant to become vaccinated, don’t punish, threaten, coerce, shame them into doing it. Bring back liability to the drug companies and chemists developing it, bring back regulatory checks and balances to the government agencies overseeing the process. If you do that, I’m sure you’d see a 99.9% vaccination rate.
  2. That’s awesome, I leave for a 14 day tour on Wednesday. I’ll miss my kids but I’m bringing my dogs... Cuz no one wants to be alone on Christmas.
  3. I think they are always over rated. But this year they sat on the top of the nhl standings for 3 weeks? And they do have 3 players in the top 15 of nhl scoring averaging over 1ppg each. We’ve got 1 at #15 Miller. Give credit where it’s due... as much as I hate Toronto (the hockey team, The City is great lol) the Leafs are getting it done... but hopefully they fail in the playoffs. The NHL will screw us though and postpone this game.
  4. I’d rather play them tonight then when they have Tavares and Marner in their lineup. We shut down Matthews and Nylander tonight, we’re golden. They’re missing 40% of their top PP unit. They’re also missing Spezza tonight who is in the top 6 on their team points wise. The fact of the matter is that Toronto was sitting #1 in the league before the injury/covid bug beat them whether we like it or not. This year’s Canucks does not beat this years Leafs when both teams are 100% healthy. Not at this point anyways... maybe after BB has been coaching for 3 months and they know his systems. People here need to understand what a great opportunity this is for our squad tonight. Perfect circumstance.
  5. And how is that pressure going to do now that Tavares and Spezza (2 of their 3 hottest scorers lately) have been put on the covid list last night?, along with Kerfoot and Simmonds...
  6. I would way rather play the Leafs when they’re missing half of their top 6, and we’re missing half of our D (the exact situation tonight) Rather than teams fully healthy. I think this is actually a good time for us to play them. Everyone is acting like the NHL is screwing us... but this is our best chance to beat them actually.
  7. They are missing Tavares, Marner, Kerfoot, Simmonds, Spezza. So yea... they’re missing 3 of their 4 centres. Plus the RW on their top line.
  8. Let’s see... how do the average homer fan do this? Chiasson, Dowling, Poolman and a 2nd for Dahlin(50% salary retained)
  9. Thank god Toronto is down Marner, Tavares, Spezza, Kerfoot and Simmonds tomorrow.
  10. I hope not. I’d like us to wipe out the leafs while we’re playing great hockey.
  11. Yes! It’s very important that we hold people to the same standard as the court of law!!! I need proof and evidence!!! And don’t give me any of that sh** from other countries around the world. I know they’re all faking their findings if it’s not the same as Canada or the USA finds!!!
  12. I don’t know if you’ve ever seen him play? I would think it would cost us like 3 - 1st rd picks.
  13. I had heard $157,000 or $158,000 before Beach revealed himself. Which I thought was crazy for the Hawks to fight it to the point where it all got exposed and put them in the spotlight. It also made me believe Beach, because it wasn’t about money. He was asking for what the average person from here makes in a year, instead of millions(which I felt he should have been seeking)
  14. He also said this team has glaring holes. I took that as toughness. When the games get cranked up, we’ve got no one. I think every team needs a 4th line guy that can throw a big hit and drop the mitts if the team needs it. Also last night we got a big W, but that was Carolina’s 3rd game in 4 nights without their starting goalie, best forward and best Defenseman . Look how fast they still were. There’s about 10 teams in the league that bring speed like that and I think JR is absolutely right... we need to get quicker. I see the back end as extremely slow too with the exception of Hughes.
