  1. All 3 of those guys played more games than Joulevi though.
  2. What about when he was one of 20 people providing armed security to a car lot? Have you watched the full 7 minute video where there’s a mob of about 50 people chasing him and he’s yelling at them to F#$& off and leave him alone, then they kick out his feet? If me and 20 buddies were chasing you and I kicked your feet out and started kicking you in the side of your head and you had a gun, don’t you think you’d have every right to shoot me? I mean who chases down someone with an automatic AR15???. Play stupid games, win stupid prizes... that Is why I feel everyone who died in this situation got what they deserved.
  3. I think it’s time for a change. There’s only 6 coaches in the league that have been with their teams longer in the nhl than Green. 2 have cups and 2 have played for cups in that time frame. The only coach in that group that has done worse arguably than Green is Blashill in Detroit. I just wonder who’s out there that’s any good. To me, Quinville and Babcock are definite NOs
  4. Another guy pulled a handgun on him and was shot as well.
  5. Pretty crazy that Jake is playing with Emil(Elias’ older brother), Shirokov & Lehtera to name a few.
  6. In a league where the average career is 5 seasons, that’s not too shabby and he almost got 300 career points.
  7. Also an aging core that was refusing to waive their NTCs.
  8. The guys from 3 drafts ago are just starting to make it into the league. So they’ll pass him this year probably unless the panthers start playing him.
  9. Nick Jensen comes to mind too. Brendan Gaunce was a complete miss as well.
  10. There’s no one else(except the last 2-3 drafts) that played fewer games than Joulevi, drafted top 5 overall.
  11. Hodgson was a loss but when he started failing we traded him for kassian and Kassian’s addiction issues got the best of him here... so it all played out. - Jake never lived up to his potential... character issues and the fanbase/organization didn’t seem to want to part with him, he had some okay seasons. nothing great. It is what it is. -Joulevi is the biggest bust because he should have never been a top 5 overall pick. He was a benefactor of playing on a London Squad featuring Dvorak, Marner and Tkatchuk. There was much better D-men available at his Spot (Sergachev, Macavoy & Chychrun). This fanbase incredibly defended him as a top 5 pick... true top 5 picks don’t need 5-7 years to develop. What did he have? 12 nhl games maybe on the 3rd pairing. In a league that’s getting younger and faster and 95% of players are done by age 34...... Joulevi is the modern day definition of a bust... and probably the highest drafted player in the last 10 drafts to bust.
  12. I just looked into it and there’s only 6 coaches in the NHL that have currently been with their teams longer than Green has been with Vancouver. - 2 have cups (Sullivan & Cooper). - 2 are Maurice in Winnipeg & Bednar in Colorado(yearly contenders). - 1 is Cassidy in Boston who seem to be back on the upswing after a brief rebuild. So Green is in Elite company with Blashill in Detroit for retaining their jobs this long, yet having very limited success. I don’t mind Green, but it’s time for him to go.
  13. I’m confident. His first 4 years his hands were tied with the Sedins sticking around much longer than they should have. Also with Edler refusing to waive. Really only the last 3 years we’ve seen him try changing things. He’s built a strong possession team, unfortunately his coach is a dump and chase coach. I think if we get the right coaching staff in here the Canucks can turn it around. Unfortunately it might take 30 games for him to figure it out. Next year should be good, unless they change all the coaches this year in time to salvage things.
  14. Much deserved with all the hard work and success this squad has accomplished 1/8th into the season.
  15. We’re currently sitting 28th overall in league standings. - we have the 24th ranked PP - we have the 27th ranked PK where are we realistically? Are we truly in the bottom 5 of the league... or will it get better?
  16. We’re getting some weak calls. Now that the NHL has noticed it doesn’t give us an advantage.
