[Official] Toronto Blue Jays Major League Baseball thread
Bure_of_94 replied to The Stork's topic in Off-Topic General
The owners don’t seem like they’re in a hurry and apparently that side has said that there might be very little spring training if any at all. -
No worries. Thank you. I like more reasonable level headed discussion rather than either side condescending and calling eachother names or the general passive aggressive digs we’ve seen society reduced to these last few years. I dropped out of pharmacy after my second practicum and 2nd year of schooling. And I think there is very good chemists and biologists working for these companies. A couple of things that surprised me out of the vaccines is that Merck or Bayer didn’t get involved in a big way as both were very reputable for many years. In fact Merck made the commonly used manuals used in school and in pharmacies.

Lol I’d almost rather drive a dodge, before I drive a Ford. Just give me a minute here.

Thanks for trying to spin that on me but I was replying to you, as you assumed that everyone lives your lifestyle. But I’d like to have a level headed discussion on your 2nd part instead of you throwing a tantrum because I don’t take the time to regurgitate what the media tells me. 3 talking points I’m interested in hearing are 1) Have any of the major vaccine manufacturers ever had a 10 figure lawsuit that they lost due to permanent damage Directly linked from a drug or vaccine that they produced? 2) Why is a company fighting in court as we speak to keep their files sealed for 75 years involving current vaccine and that they’re looking for an extension of non-liability? Does this not make you stop and think? If you want to encourage anti-vaxxers I would think if there’s nothing for them to be concerned about, put it all on the table. 3) Why were pharmaceutical laws put in place? Especially many having to do with development and trials? Has there been any major effects like kidneys, lungs or heart damage permanent in any of these, say in the 3rd, 4th or 5th year after taking a drug/vaccine? If anyone can’t discuss that rationally, they should be concerned for their mental state no matter what side of the floor they sit on.

I dunno like big portions of the working class outside of major metropolitan areas getting time off Christmas wasn't an option. And as for a bus, I don’t know what the rules are, the nearest city to me that has them is 400km away. But I would guess a bus load of people is a lot less contagious than a sporting event or concert with 18,000+.

How could someone if they’re not vaccinated. They’re not allowed to participate in super spreader events: Hockey games, flights, concerts, university, etc?

And that’s if we can ever vote them out! The east seems to love them right now though!

[Rumour] John Klingberg requests trade
Bure_of_94 replied to -Vintage Canuck-'s topic in Trades, Rumours, Signings
I think there’s teams that covet him to the point where they’d pay a 1st+ roster player. I don’t think he’s any more special than most 2/3 defenders. -
I’m just tired of all this. Either we put everything on Halt for a couple months and defeat this thing and get on with life. Or we make a mess of it and live this weird chaos for 10 years... I’m not naive enough to believe after we’ve been doing this for 2 years already that our method of tackling this thing is suddenly going to work. I’m tired of the divide, I’m tired of both sides thinking their opinions are more valid than the others. People preach unity but it’s only for if people are united in their own ideals. Even centrist approaches aren’t welcome... it’s become an us vs them world & it’s ugly. At least sports offered an escape and some enjoyment. But now with not even leagues being on the same page with all 30+ teams(depending on which sport) it’s even getting frustrating.

My horses might need that? Honestly I had corona virus in October and it only took a pack of halls to get rid of the 2 days of inconvenience of the world‘s deadliest virus of all time. And btw, a tin of Skoal straight is the best horse dewormer money can buy.

I haven’t been in a hospital in decades. I hunt, I fish, I farm. If the law enforcement system was to collapse, I’d go take whatever I want, whenever I wanted from you.

Are you saying that you don’t believe in Darwin?
-
Would that be such a bad thing? Give society back to the people, survival of the fittest. I believe in science and to coddle the weakest and useless members of society is not science. Not according to Darwin anyways.
-
Then we might as well kiss it all goodbye permanently and throw a victory parade for Corona. This won’t go away until there’s a least 8 shots in every arm. So look at the switch to endemic for maybe 2025 or 2026 & by then the financial side of all this will finally start to show up and we may not be able to have the league financially survive this century’s Great Depression.

Canada should not have NHL teams until after the pandemic is done. It’s like we’re the only country afraid of this virus. Willing to sacrifice everything to defeat this virus. Let’s lend our team to Portland for the next 5-10 years!
-
Exactly! Unless they’re directly associated with the UN or WHO they are are not credible!!

[Rumour] Canucks trying to trade Halak
Bure_of_94 replied to VegasCanuck's topic in Trades, Rumours, Signings
I was looking at that today. Imagine if Green woulda had the team playing .400-420 hockey. We’d be sitting right there with calgary and edmonton right. Now.
