  1. I assume the only hold up on a Myers cap dump to San Jose is an Erik Karlsson trade.
  2. Kuz - Petey - Mik Beau - Miller - Boeser Zucker - O'Reilly - Podz Hog - Aman - Joshua Hughes - Mayfield Soucy - Hronek Wolanin/Hirose - Clifton I don't hate that at all...
  3. Shorter guy but yeah he plays well above his weight class. I've made proposals for him here before, and he'd be cheaper than cheap.
  4. You underestimate the guy. I've kept up with the Leafs a bit and even tho the fans hate him, he's really not as bad as they say.
  5. I didn't say he needs someone to carry them, he just needs to be half of a defensive pairing. He won't carry a lesser player. This is all assuming he signs for less than $1.5 million a season, but I think he'd be a very reasonable Myers replacement.
  6. Why does everyone hate Justin Holl? He's a fantastic stopgap and he's very well suited to the 4/5/6 role. Problem is, Toronto used him as the token defensive guy and that's not what he is. He makes boneheaded mistakes sometimes, but he's generally a better player than replacement. He needs a good player with him but he PK's one of the more respectable PK units in Toronto.
  7. So heading into tomorrow, our lineup stands like this: Kuzmenko - Petey - Mikheyev Beauvillier - Miller - Boeser Garland - xxxx - Podkolzin Hoglander - Aman - Joshua PDG, Studnicka, Dries, Pearson(?) Hughes - xxxx xxxx - Hronek Brisebois - Myers Hirose, Wolanin, McWard Demko Martin Silovs Who stays? Who goes? Who do we sign with potentially $12.1 million in cap space for this season? Do we see Petey and Hronek contracts signed?
  8. Everyone talking about Yegor Yegorov or Marcel Marcel, when in reality we need the best hockey name of all time:
  9. None of the goalie prospects seemed that intriguing to me. I haven't seen any raw goalies with a lot of athleticism, which seems to be his forte.
  10. So if Willander hits as a top 2/3D, then I would really hope we hit on at least two of Brzustewicz, Mynio and Celebrini. The nice thing is all of our D picks have a different skillset and could each bring something different to the team. Not sure why we deviated away from those kinds of picks and went for the overagers, but again I'm waiting for the deep dive. In terms of value relative to their draft position, I'd rank it as: A Brzustewicz ---------------- B+/B Willander Mynio ---------------- C+ Alriksson Celebrini --------------- D+ Perkins ------------ D-/F Mueller
  11. 6 more picks and then I can turn this off lol. Just hoping it's one of the youngest defenders in the draft with extreme defensive upside ala Kudryavtsev. I like what Cosentino said earlier too about picking in these rounds, "Can't think. Can't skate. Can't play." Just get someone who can think and skate
  12. It's much more likely that Myers is an EK65 replacement to run the PP while they transition towards the youth movement. Myers can play, but he just doesn't fit here for that price tag and for what we want.
  13. Yeah this is the part of the draft where I don't know anything about these players. Not sold by the stat-lines anymore but I'm waiting for the deep dive.
  14. Ty Meuller, not a name I'm familiar with.
  15. Unfortunately, now is when the big player trades stop happening. I wish I could make them thing but looks like no dice... at least today.
  16. Seriously shocked that Cameron Allen hasn't been taken yet. I expected him to go in the mid-second.
  17. Agreed, we don't need all of them to hit but if we can get 2 of the 3 picks we've made so far to be contributing members of our team someday? That would be huge going forwards.
  18. I think we're doing the exact opposite of 2019, where we drafted 8 forwards and 1 G (Silovs).
  19. Love this pick, seriously love it. We'll have to start calling him Brzuiser lol
