If Benning really won that many trades we would be much better off with results to back it up but unfortunately the fact of the matter is we bled assets with him at the helm for years and only have a few top tier pieces to speak of and even some of those now are in question(Pettersson). Our NHL club isn't great, our AHL club isn't great, we have nearly nothing in the prospect pipeline, we're against the cap still somehow and we've got another large anchor it seems in OEL.
Most of those trades you declared wins are actually losses in my opinion. It was death by a thousand cuts, trying to speed up the process, trading picks and prospects for older players was a massive failure and is always the wrong thing to do, it gets proven time and time again.
Even his : "wins" like the Miller and Toffoli trades aren't really wins when you consider we gave up young assets to acquire players aged to compete when we clearly weren't ready.

This is an immense amount of sacrificed future with nothing to show for it, during a time we should of been adding picks and prospects. It's actually incredibly depressing, I think Benning should go down as the worst GM in the teams history. His results and winning % even show it so how the original post is getting so much support is quite astonishing.
