  1. Interesting thing I notice is the keep JT group seems to have a lot of emotional thinking individuals, and the trade JT have a lot of logical thinking individuals. Not saying one is better than the other, just an observation.
  2. Can someone properly translate what tank means for Kuz? Translation obviously got lost... In Soviet Russia, tank means go to battle. Win War at all cost.
  3. Completely different view and reason though. Little things was just atrocious and we wanted him out. JT is a great player that will bring value and we're excited for the return, as well as being grateful that the Canucks brass is finally taking the right approach.
  4. Does this trade look like a win boys?! Would have been stoked to also have another 1st, Lundqvist and that Chytil guy right about now. We would seriously be trending the right direction!
  5. I see Miller as positive value and JK as a cap dump for the Hurricanes. Not denying the cap flexibility isn't enticing, but I would definitely try to get more. That would be an underwhelming return.
  6. Nuh uh. It is guaranteed. That is the only way we keep justifying all the overpaid contracts and how they will look like bargains in few years... so it must be true.
  7. As much as I hate the laffs, this is a pretty good move. Looks they are determined to break the curse and lose in the 2nd round rather than the first. One step at a time.
  8. Tell them to sniff harder. However. I'd be happy with a JK 1st and 2nd? I'm assuming that's the price with his new contract.
  9. Most people I have seen don't seem to be sore on trading Bo. We just understand our contention window has been pushed further back and Miller fits the timeline even less now. Might as well properly build out for the contention window. To make it clear, I was always on the trade Miller train since last summer. Not because he is a bad player, but because he didn't fit our window, however was a great player that would bring much needed value back. Didn't complain about his new contract either because I felt he took a fair deal for what he could have gotten in the market, albeit it wouldn't age great. Still doesn't change the fact he doesn't fit our timeline unfortunately, hence why his return and cap space are more desired.
  10. Bet you the moment Lucic joins the Nucks, he becomes a prime candidate for the Lady Byng... minus the high standard of playing part.
  11. Would you seriously do it if its isles 1st and ours unprotected 1st? That would define the "compete now" retool approach that FA likes.
  12. Incoming 2x 2023 firsts, Myers after bonus, Hoglander for JC
  13. I think Quinn wins if we can get him a steady top 4 partner while this team enters their contending era.
  14. Jake, rather than posting here I think you'd find it more productive for your career if you clean up your act and start acting like a professional.
  15. Man you whack Matt. Hasnt the Coilers taught you anything. I'd rather Petey + top 6 F + top 4 D over McBonzai anyday
  16. Why you ruining our fun my guy? Also, nobody should be ok with that... so there is a chance FA requests it then...
  17. With all the interest, a 2nd is definitely in play. A late 1st isn't as farfetched. We could even take a cap dump to get to that 1st.
  18. Nuh uh. Unless you're a 6'4 defenseman that can defend like Lidstrom, hit like Steven's, skate like McDavid, fight like Laraque, shoot like Iafrate, you're definitely trash hence expandable! Oh, and be less stoic than Horvat too.
  19. Alf, hypothetical question. Would you be ok to use our 2 1sts to dumparoo bonzai Myers, OEL and Garland?
  20. Give em hell! Also please feel free to bring the 8 million dollar man with you on the way out!
