  1. Completely agree and that's what you get when there's so many players that cash in on their opportunities like Pearson, Boeser, Harvat... but most of the game these players fight to keep up, lose possession to easy, lose too many races and battles and are very inconsistent. When several of your better players have so many weaknesses in their games we get this frustrating teasing hockey. There's not enough consistency on this team because most of the players are inconsistent individually, don't have enough speed and not capable of being complete players often enough. Would've helped tonight to have the much bigger and far better Demko in net also he would've had a couple of those goals against and they wouldn't have been chasing as bad tonight. Also injuries continue to be a pretty big problem the team doesn't have the depth to have as many as they have and as often as they have.
  2. I completely agree and I'm growing frustrated as well especially after watching Chaisson and Petan making lots of small errors and soft plays just giving up pucks and looking completely useless. Inserting young extremely mobile and great skilled speedy guys like Rathbone and Lockwood in the lineup right now could end up really giving the Canucks team a boost they need and be a real different maker especially given the teams lacks speed overall. Watching Pearson, Chaisson really struggle around the ice against the Avs getting beat constantly and just as useless Petan is getting me impatient wondering how it could be better weakening the team with these players and not giving these great young kids that opportunity. I get why they're giving the kids time but enough with that coddling get them up and see what you have now before it's too late. I've been watching Abbotsford games and Lockwoods penalty killing is incredible his ability to close time and space, use a great stick, fast relentless forcheck and in your face speed is as good as it gets this alone would be a welcome addition.
  3. Agreed I find he misses a lot of opportunities to check or put good pressure on his man because he lacks good quick feet or a first couple strides that are needed. Again I'll say the reason for Bo's lack of speed is his bulky body and his speed severely drops in the 2nd half of his shifts or if he's at a stand still with no momentum where his first few strides are very slow and sluggish where he basically looks like the monkey in the middle not quick enough feet to pressure properly or intercept passes. Really the only time I see Bo being fast is when he is earlier in a shift and he gets a few strides to get going almost like a train does ha. If you watch Boeser and Pearson they're a lot the same and if all 3 had quicker feet, more speed and cardio they'd be much more potent offensively and defensively overall and they'd help the team much more than they do. There's a lot more to it than just being slow or fast there's other parts to it in different scenarios.
  4. Hate losing Motte a player that is one of the few players that has top end speed and ability to help the team win games. If I'm Rutherford at least for now I trade Myers and Pearson and free up all that cap space to use on Motte and Miller players that help the team win games. A 4th for Motte is pretty much nothing and Motte's value is much more than that to the Canucks especially a team that lacks foot speed, a forcheck and top end penalty killers. Not impressed at all.
  5. I agree if we're talking about Bo with some momentum on a rush early in a shift but if you watch him closely the 2nd half of his shifts he's definitely dragging around and not much speed which I think is due mostly to his bulky body type. Having Bo, Brock and Pearson out late in shifts is a big liability especially in their own zone. I'm not a metrics guy but there's got to be some proof out there that these 3 spend a way too much time hemmed in their own zone.
  6. I've been complaining about the teams too 6 speed for years and you just can't have Bo, Boeser and Pearson in this faster and stronger NHL. I see it hurting the team pretty much every game and it's really limiting the potential. Sadly all 3 not only struggle with a glaring lack of speed that severely hurts their potential they also arent that strong which makes it worse. It's painful to watch Boeser these days losing all races and battles, easily losing pucks all over and not driving any offense whatsoever. I'm hoping today that Boeser, Pearson and Myers are traded for whatever we can get. This team will never be a great team in todays game with these 3 and Horvat moving forward and the top players and offensive drivers will always have to carry these weaker forwards like they do now.

  8. I like this move 58% is a real good faceoff number and I really like that Richardson can now remove Horvat from the PK where Bo isnt very good at and to me importantly saves Bo some energy and maybe a bit more jump in his legs. This wear on the PK is something never talked about but I've never liked to see top forwards like Bo and Miller used on the PK because I feel like these 2 players need all the life in their legs they can get and the energy expended on the PK imo hurts their games.
  9. In an article with this replay I read that Truscott is a very underrated player so let's hope this kid keeps progressing and turns out to be a diamond in the rough sleeper.
