How many pres trophies and SCF appearances does Milbury have? The Luongo contract allowed them to have him at only a 5m AAV in the first few years, allowing us to build a team that went to the cup final. We then still managed to trade the rest of his contract for a vezina nominated goalie. the 3m recapture was inconveniant but not franchise crippling. You know what was crippling? Watching Loui Player Name stumble around for 6m for 6 years and trading 2nd round picks for nothingness

We've had like 4 years to plan around that recapture penalty. Resigning Jake Virtanen and Braden Holtby among others cost us those players.

It's Gillis's fault JB signed Player Name, Schaller, Gagner, Roussel, Beagle, Gudbranson, Sbisa, Holtby etc.. spent to the cap every year, traded 2nds away for nothing, didn't draft us squat outside of the first round, traded Forsling for Clendenning, Resigned Virtanen etc Gillis got us Martkstrom and Mathias for Luongo in the end. That should be applauded. Gillis was the most successful GM in team history and you guys are dumping on him and defending the guy who gave us our worst stretch in Canucks history lol.

JT Miller is a great player but he is no leader. He acts the way he does because we have nobody to real him in, you can't have a leader smashing his stick, quitting on plays and screaming at his teammates when they don't pass him the puck. During the covid season the guy literally mailed it in for the whole year
