  1. Long overdue but 2019 was the final straw. How do you have 9 picks and are unable to identify a single defenceman in the draft? We hear all the time you need to draft defenceman, we finally have a surplus of picks that year and we take 0....0 defenceman. That's fireable all on it's own. It's like they just forgot
  2. Poolman and Dickinson, that's it? How bout Gagner, Roussel, Player Name, Beagle, Gudbranson, Virtanen/Holtby(dead cap), Pouliot, Schaller, Clendenning, OEL and more. We spent to the cap every year of Benning's tenure Benning knew about the recapture penalties and literally every team in the league had to deal with Covid. Where are these reports of Aqualini forcing Benning's hand? Did Aqualini make Benning Sign Holtby, re-sign Virtanen and let Tanev, Toffoli, Markstrom and Edler walk?
  3. Career high in points, near career high in O-zone starts/ career low d-zone starts, his d-zone starts haven't been as low since 2012/13 when the Canucks were still good. He had to block less shots this year as well and had more protection from tougher players. The difference for him staying healthy is he wasn't pinned in his own zone as much and wasn't taking as many bone crushing hits and didn't have to block as many shots
  4. My brother played there during their inaugural season. I see they got new jerseys..thank god. The team wasn't very good, I hope it has improved since.
  5. I want to load up around this great core and go for it. That's the thing though, we are all-in. We did load up
  6. Yes that's exactly my point by saying we are in an extremely tough spot. We were built to be competitive now but we're still not competitive. It's a tough decision but the right one will be to move Miller for futures and be ready to compete hopefully in 3-5 years
  7. The right move would 100% be to move Miller right now for futures but we've wasted so much time taking the route we have the last 7 years, we'll be pretty hard pressed telling some pieces of our roster that we may be taking a step back for a couple of years. This is why trading for players who are ready to compete now when we as a team were not ready to compete now was always destined to fail. We just went two straight years without a first round pick, now we want to trade JT Miller for.....a 1st round pick? And we need to save some cap....but we just traded for OEL.. We're actually in a really tough spot
  8. they need to fix the hooking call. players just fall down now anytime they feel a stick, it's a joke
