I went to high school with him for a bit in Victoria. Super kind, friendly, well respected guy from my limited perspective. I wish him the best. I'm so curious if hiring Spencer indicates the direction Washington is going to go. Like younger, quickly. If they stay the course with their roster it's hard to imagine things getting brighter

I hope he plays. He has done pretty well I think, and it sends Miller to the wing on the Horvat line (hopefully). A line of Hoglander/Dries/Podkolzin could be something terrible, but it also could be a positive to have two struggling players trying to find a role and identity on the same line rather than being in the shadow of others

They need pp scoring and Miller will provide that. A 2023 protected first rounder and a defensive prospect like Bolduc would be a good return if the dominoes start falling. Although no doubt something else has to shift to make it work for their cap
