  1. Canucks home record all-time, we are currently at the lowest point percentage of all time at home. https://www.nhl.com/stats/teams?aggregate=0&reportType=season&seasonFrom=19701971&seasonTo=20222023&gameType=2&playerPlayedFor=franchise.20&homeRoad=H&filter=gamesPlayed,gte,1&sort=a_pointPct&page=0&pageSize=52 By wins we are currently equal 1st for worst home win % (wins/home games played)
  2. Nope, only speculation. Some say it's front office (tank plan is go?). His wife announced she was pregnant two weeks ago on Instagram so no baby situation like Delia and if it's a personal issue then I wish him all the best. Seems bizarre, i haven't seen any media questions.
  3. On the face of it it was to get Silovs and Delia playing time in Abby->https://canucksarmy.com/news/canucks-call-up-goaltender-collin-delia-31-save-performance-abbotsford-start-friday-edm However i heard from Elliotte Freedmannnenee that:
  4. we were very fighty earlier in the season, didn't help much, though we had two early scraps against the Kraken in the 1st period during our last game vs them.
  5. I don't get this, i mean Martin hasn't looked good out there. He's doing ok apart from a few softies but he needs a break.
  6. 5-3 nucks Pettersson comes back from the dead with 2 goals.
  7. First Jersey I ever bought. He was always solid, always physical and a calm warrior. The exact guy we lack right now.
  8. Irish song covered amazingly by Steven Page
  9. Good article by MacIntyre https://www.sportsnet.ca/nhl/article/boudreau-preaches-positivity-as-canucks-struggle-to-find-their-way/
  10. Media: TV: Sportsnet Pacific Radio: Sportsnet 650 Overview Twas the last home game before Christmas and not much was stirring until.... THE RETURN OF PETTERSSON. Things look grim, canucks fans had made plans to shop for tombstones and raid local liquor supplies but then the news broke. Can one man turn the tide? Perhaps if he's a wizard like Gandalf or EP40. The Canucks have talked a lot about effort and improvement but haven't managed a regulation win since beginning their slate of 7 games before Christmas against Western Opponents. Over the first 5 games they have 1 OT win, 1 shootout win and three listless losses by a combined score of 13-2 so far. The Canucks have switched lines in practice again and sent Hoglander down to Abbotsford. Lane Petterson will start his third game in a row, and while he's not the cause of any blame he is on a 45-game goal-less streak in the big leagues. The blueline is also seeing a shift with Ethan Bear being the odd one out at practice, a puzzling move perhaps but would it be possible for the blueline to be any worse? (the tank commanders say yes). Martin will start in net with Dellia called back up and is expected to start tomorrow against the Oilers. For the Kraken, snow cancelled their practice but they are coming off 2 wins. Their last win was a 5-2 victory over the Blues albeit a blues team with Greiss and without Kyrou who had a hatrick against Vancouver. Ryan Donato has goals in 4 straight games and former Canuck McCann has 3 goals in his last 5 games. The Canucks will have to be aware of the Kraken's blueliners as they have balanced scoring and have combined for 18 goals this season which puts them near the top of the league (vs just 7 for Vancouver). Jones should be in goal tonight. 2 months ago the Canucks got their first win of the season against the Kraken, ending a 7 game losing streak and bringing needed joy to fans. Since that victory they have 12 wins and 11 losses. Canucks fans will not expect victory tonight, but they'll welcome a better effort on home ice. MATCH-UP INFO The Canucks are 5-0-0 all-time against the Kraken, including a 2-0-0 record at home. 11. I don't think success is related to fans except in one regard. They play, we watch. I think a good organization looks inward and builds and connects with the community as part of it's values. When I started being a regular canucks fan in 2002 it was when they were going through an upswing but they were absolutely a franchise that wasn't successful apart from the 94 team. The crawford-burke days set an organizational standard that carried on through AV and with Aquilini taking over. Burke never threw Crawford under the bus like Alvin has done. I think a huge reason for 2010-11 was AV coaching the Moose and the guys in the lockout like Kesler bonding in the AHL. I stopped after 2011 but it really seems like the jets coming in and losing the Moose short circuited the next wave. The one aspect that fans do play a big part in is developing the young guys. People going to Abbotsford and supporting the younger guys who give their all and start building combinations helps them become NHLers. I think Abbotsford is a big big step and it will be our new core of success. Keep developing guys there and with some defensemen and grinders and size additions we may ascend.
  12. Yes and yes and also riley stillman's mother - his tribute video is in progress.
  13. If you read the details, there is a long adjustment period and she'll be in her home ocean in salish in a protected area but in the ocean.

  15. The day that people realized that Lee Goren had possibly the greatest gamegames in Canucks history:
  16. https://sacredsea.org/skalichelhtenaut/ https://www.miaminewtimes.com/news/miami-seaquarium-shifts-stance-on-lolita-the-orcas-release-15944705 Since the Canucks have been associated with Orcas for so many years now I do hope they have contributed as it would be great to bring the Orca home. Never hurts to do the right thing. edit:she passed away, sigh
