  1. Trezeguet was another great target man, i always thought he would have been a beast in England.
  2. something about Gyllenhal has always rubbed me the wrong way. I loved Donnie Darko back in the day (haven't seen it since), but I've never been super sold on him since. not saying I think he's a bad actor, he's just always in movies that I want to love, but just barely enjoy Brokeback Mountain is a straight 11/10 though
  3. to be fair, i think he said he DIDN'T care about Nistelrooy - but he did care about Beckham and Ronaldo edit: sorry, "found it hard to move on from"
  4. if 23 is old, then i'm ancient i've been posting on CDC longer than TRR has been alive
  5. lol, checking back through Piers Morgan's tweets on a day like today always provides a good laugh. he loves Arsenal, but wants Wenger gone Arsenal with 200m in the reserves, but not a single outfield signing all summer long despite the entire world calling for more help up front
  6. anyone think Charlie Austin will move today? QPR's 15m price tag seems so high, but surely they wouldn't reject a 10m offer? can they even afford to pay his wages in the lower division? that said, he's already scored 4 goals in 5 games, maybe they can't really afford to lose him
  7. there is no reason to send Januzaj to a different league for a loan if there is no intention to sell him after... especially if there is concern that he isn't fit for English football. makes no sense. I would be shocked if he ever plays for United again, tbh
  8. i'd be surprised if they didn't put in a bid for a CB today, tbh. but who really knows with LVG. i have no idea who is even available. only person you ever hear about is Stones, and Everton say they are going to reject every bid. in his prime, Nilselrooy was an absolute poaching beast. One of the best I have ever seen at his style/position - frustrating at times because he wasn't oozing with pace or creativity, but with balls fed from Becks, Giggs, Scholes, etc. do you really need to be creative?
  9. lmfao TRR those quotes are hilarious and also cringe-inducing
  10. isn't RM your fav team along with Manchester United? isn't that what everyone is making fun of you for in this thread? this is just another chapter in the long book of drama between the two clubs - how do you decide who to side with?
  11. about transfer $$? go back and re-read my post though, this is exactly what we should expect from United right now. they will say it's not a panic purchase, but do you believe that? this is a massive overpayment for some potential imo. but they have to do it. United CANNOT lose more revenue (they lost 14% last year, remember) - and while they get the CL revenue from this year, do they look like a top 4 team right now, losing to Swansea, not creating sh-t for chances, and with ONE legitimate forward in their entire squad? lmfao, United NEEEEEEEEEEEEEEDED to buy someone, and they are gonna pay huge. they need a good league placement, or they will lose a chunk of revenue yet again. the link I posted says that they SHOULD have a large chunk of money "in the bank" (IIRC don't they say 80 or like 130m?) that is NOT being used for debt issues - but it also sorta suggests that the money not spent on transfers could be used for debt payments/handling interest. but United's recent performances and their lack of a legitimate forward line has undone all of that, and they seem to be using that reserve chunk of cash to fix their glaring, widely discussed problem. this is, of course, assuming that website is accurate.
  12. the Times and Guardian are reporting that United claim to have timestamps on the documents that were BEFORE the transfer deadline (according to someone posting ANOTHER source on RedCaf) -- so maybe this will still go through. never seen anything like this before. hilarious.
  13. So wait, does this mean that Navas is officially a United player and DDG is a Madrid player, but will move in December? Or are both transfers off? If this was a calculated move on United's part, that is absolutely hilarious
  14. omg, the posts on redcafe are hilarious right now http://www.redcafe.net/threads/de-gea-contract-situation-paper-jam-scuppers-move.397568/page-312
  15. lots of people saying there are 'special exceptions' for late transfers, so this will probably be one of them. Madrid has far too much money, power, influence for this to happen -- and let's hope for United's sake it happens this is too funny
  16. like G Nev says in the video above, United haven't been without 4 forwards in over 20 years - LVG finally fixed United's midfield problem, but he poked a massive hole in the front now. Martial could turn out to be a wonderful player in 2, 3, 5 years, but this doesn't do a whole lot for the club right now. I would say they should be signing another forward, but at the rumoured cost of this kid, I'm not sure they could afford it
  17. it has been said many times in the last week, but why would Bale want to leave Madrid--the biggest team in the world, where he is being groomed to be a star... for United, which could be a sinking ship with a manager everybody seems to hate? there are not many world class players realistically available.
  18. also Januzaj expected to go to Dortmund on loan -- probably with option to buy, otherwise why the hell would they loan him out to a German club? Gary Neville kills it in this discussion:
  19. yea, should be happening: http://www.fff.fr/actualites/164024-570541-permission-exceptionnelle-pour-martial#brRRmLg1lId816sJ.99 how much did United gamble on this kid? the report on him from the sporting director at Monaco:
  20. according to some posts on the Manchester subreddit (r/reddvils), lots of sources in France are saying Martial is going to United -- i have no idea if any of the sources are reliable or not.
  21. this has me laughing. poor Miley Cyrus has lost her mind -- and the Flaming Lips found it.
