Boyhood - 10/10
An absolute masterpiece. Seriously, it's a testament to how a pretty basic, narrative film could be considered art.
It's more than just a movie about A life, or a family of lives, it's pretty much 'North American Suburban Experience' as a whole. You'll totally see bits and pieces of yourself throughout, and it'll probably break your heart a little bit. The jarring bits of dialogue, the silly clothes, the trends, the music, everything, it all just fits a period. In a way, it's stuff we've probably all heard or said before, but when it's contained in a movie like this, it's just sorta special.
To/for me, there's really something really moving and difficult about that watching a movie about the passing of time.
