  1. Jordan Schroeder... But Ryan Miller for this guy... he was incredible in his prime. And even when he was on the decline with the Canucks he was a leader, he gave 100%.
  2. Historically I would have picked OEL, as he was my favorite non -Canuck player for years, but not as much recently, although I'm excited for him to hopefully bounce back with the Canucks. But I picked Brock Boeser, he's a stand up guy, and performed admirably last season after a rough, and injury filled sophomore campaign. He was also the first Benning draft pick I got really excited about. Before Petey lined up Brock and Bo were doing it all. Now we have a a lot young exciting players and a couple prospects in the pipeline that are fun to watch and each year the decision gets harder and harder.
  3. I mean should something happen to these people, who is going to help them? I'm sure they hospital staffing in a real hurry to help them. Now they risk no treatment for covid or anything else
  4. What about the "Bra-barian" Jeff Cowan...he made the Ladies go wild. Well at least one...
  5. I took Nazzy, wasn't an easy decision because we haven't I hope seen petey in his prime and Hank and Danny were awesome , but Nazzy had THAT shot and drive and would carry the team on his back.
  6. I know it's out of the norm here but I really like electronic music. I started out listening to new wave and 80s music, then later into hard rock/grunge, my taste gradually moved along through indie, post rock, post punk, psych-rock, experimental, and then harsh noise. Now I've kind of finally landed on deep house, and different styles of electronic music. There's a whole world of electronic music I need to explore. It's too hard to pick one style of music there's just too many genre's. I could listen to M83 and Air all day Just to be clear I'm not a huge fan of DJ's I prefer electronic music that is composed on synthesizers not turn tables
  7. I forgot about Jake Evans, Montréal is either going to surprise again next season, or be really bad. I can't say they'll be bad because somehow they're always better than expected. But in their division they're going to need big years from a few players
  8. Who are the Habs centre's? Are they still insisting that Drouin is a centre? Losing Danault, Perry and Kotkaniemi doesn't instill much confidence. Divorak is good but can is he a game changer?
  9. I picked Forsberg, but there's a strong case for Lindstrom to be #1. Forsberg was a monster, even when the Canucks got Esa Tikkanen to shut down Forsberg they were still getting destroyed by the Avs. I remember watching Forsberg just tear the Canucks apart, he was a nightmare to play against, and if it wasn't on the score sheet he was smashing and slashing his way through his games. I never despised and respected a player as I much as I did Forsberg, it's the memories that make him my #1.
  10. Depending on the team it might be like early second round picks, it's getting hard to find elite talent past the top 10. I'm not saying you can't find some solid blue chip prospects but it's a lot harder, and we know what Petey is, or is becoming. That being said yeah I'd probably do the 4 firsts, especially if it's like Detroit or Ottawa
  11. I've been looking for the yellow skate jersey for years...
  12. I think the Svechnikov signing should be closer to what Petterson should be asking for.
  13. It's gotta be Tanti, the dude had wheels and was lights out on the powerplay. He's the reason I became a Canucks fan in the 80s.
  14. I worked at rogers arena and the team store a couple years ago. They don't replace the banners over night, they actually replace all of them not just individual players. It will be taken down but my guess is close to September when they start ramping up for the upcoming season.
  15. 2-4-3 I think next season is going to be a rough start as a few players adjust. It doesn't mean the whole season will be bad, it just might not start good.
  16. What a great series for the Jays, I hope they can steal the division. They got the talent to pull off an upset they can hit with the big boys.
  17. I think I cried a little watching the Canadian women win gold. Congrats to team Canada and especially captain Canada Christine Sinclair, it's been a long time coming!!!!
  18. I voted no, because everytime I vote yes we lose out of these things. I'd love for this team to get some redemption, and this looks like the season to do it.
  19. Congrats to Thatcher, I wish I had the guts to propose to my GF, and I'm 38. That being said I think getting married helps keep a lot of guys level headed and focused on the game...unlike some (insert player name here).
  20. It's like drunk driving, why should the cops stop drunk drivers if they haven't killed anyone. I'm allowed to drink, I'm allowed to drive why should the government tell me my blood alcohol level? I should be allowed to drive as waisted as I want, the government stripped me of my freedom.
  21. Congrats to the Canadian women's soccer team. Guaranteed medal of silver at least. Very proud of them finally beating the Americans.
  22. This guy has personality, I liked that interview today, he was so pumped. He sounded like a fan more than a player. Not many hockey clichés used in the interview. Seems like this guy is gonna compete on that left side.
