  1. The biggest issue I have is they never use the glass, they throw the puck through the middle of the ice in high danger areas instead, which result in terrible give aways. Is this an actual strategy?
  2. Including the powerplay, this team is terrible at sustained pressure and zone time. Only on rare occasions do the Canucks keep other teams buried in their zones. This team really needs the Sedins to come in and teach passing, Bure to come teach skating, and Sami Salo to teach defense. And then somehow need to steal Malhotra back to get those faceoffs in order. In the meantime our special teams need a lot of work. Not just the powerplay, the pk set up is pretty weak, they pretty much allow teams to come in the zone and set up, before they start defending.
  3. There's no reason to try to win anymore, so play the kids and see who has any stock for next year. I'm actually quite interested in seeing what Lockwood can do.
  4. Even if we did start our rebuild 4 years ago teams like Ottawa, and the Rangers seem to have moved passed us in their rebuilds. I'd like John Davidson to help fix this team
  5. But he is coaching team Canada at the upcoming world championship, and you don't get to do that if you're in bad standings. Team Canada has a strong vetting process, and they hand picked Gallant. I'm not saying Green is bad, but he might not be the fit for us. If Anaheim wants him so bad and they're willing to pay, I say let them. And then we can see if if it's roster or gm.
  6. It's a brilliant strategy, just like never using the glass to get the puck out of danger.
  7. That's questionable too, look at how Caulfield was given overtime ice time while nils has played 3 seconds?
  8. So does Benning mean 2 years as in 2 years until we can draft Connor Bedard, because I'm hoping he's the next answer, and I'm hoping he's not a flame or kraken. But the NHL is vengeful...
  9. We all know he's a freak, why do they throw it down our throats. Like the Oilers tanking 10 straight seasons and getting 4 1st overall picks as a reward. Good job thanks for reminding us how we never get that elite game player or 1st overall.
  10. I don't mind Singh, but he's clearly an Oilers Homer. CBC and the NHL really want McDavid to get to 100 points tonight
  11. Hey @Alflives welcome back! I genuinely missed you here. It's weird when the regulars disappear. If there's one thing I think this season taught me is that we need different opinions , and unique points of view. Because I think if there's one thing we can all agree upon; we need a lot of work in the off-season to get better. We a have some good assets and young talent coming to play. But what direction we want to go is the big question. That being said, I hope for a win tonight, but I expect prime time McDavid tonight to hit 100pts. But I at least want a good effort, and limit the dumb give aways
  12. Well this is obviously playing into some of his decisions. But it's not just Parros, it's the whole department. I'd kind of understand the Hamonic centre ice hit if it was reviewed, but this is laughable. If macewan is suspended it's to protect Nurse from a beat down before the playoffs.
  13. Maybe some fire Parros banners flying in NYC and Toronto would have been money better spent
  14. Lucky for Nurse the linesman jumped in because Mac flipped him right after the ground shots
