If the Canucks do not have make the playoffs and have a great season, I sadly believe Petey is not going to re-up here. His remarks during the last contract was clear, that he wanted to play for a competitive team that is a contender. He won’t be signing anything until he sees how this season plays out. JT Miller on the other hand is quite the opposite. He actually has been recently quoted in an interview that was played on 650 where he believes in this team and management. This is why he signed here for long term (he also loves the city). JT believes this team has a lot of greatness that will be unleashed for years to come. Another reason why I choose JT to be the Captain over Petey.

Glad to see Messier get the most votes so far. I was the biggest fan before he got here and what I saw disgusted me. He was known to have the speed of a Ferrari and the strength of an 18 Wheeler. A strong leader who "willed" his way as one of the bests captains in the game. Instead, we got the speed of an older Beetle and the strength of a Steve Urkel. This so called captain was dead inside and floated for 3 years while collecting one of the highest salaries of that time. Never been so disappointed and angry at a player. I even bought an Ice Pack thinking this was the time we win a Cup!

Our defending and PK were the weakest area of the team. All these new additions help solve that. They specially targeted these players and did an admirable job.

1) another strong PK Centre. Has slightly better offensive numbers than Bleuger 2) very good price and term 3) competition for the 3rd spot could make both into better players. 4) could be more capable for a short term stint in the top 6 role if JT or Petey get an injury.
