  1. Would have to guess it's only for season ticket holders and be really expensive as they have to quarter of the lower bowl for family and friends of draftees? Just my opinion.
  2. Btw just thought I'd post this here because I know a lot of posters would be so happy to hear that Mason McDonald, the goalie that was drafted 2 spots ahead of Demko by the flames, looks like he can barely keep an ECHL job.
  3. I am really excited about this pick. I don't know much about the MJHL but they are a league with 20 and 21 year olds so he's already been playing against older players and had a massive season for that league. I think worst case scenario is you have a solid AHL goalie for your farm. I love the NCAA development route for goalies so I am really excited to see what he can do there.
  4. Exactly. I don't mind this pick. A 6th round was a long shot regardless but if we hit we will hit big...
  5. A russian kid who fights people bigger than himself? I can get on board with that. If he is anywhere near as feisty as that video suggests we got ourselves a winner.
  6. If his dad was 190 at 5'11 there's a good chance Tyler will be at least 180-185 which is good playing weight with a guy of his speed and talent. If he has anywhere near the defensive talent of his dad combined with his 'better' offensive skills then we will have hit a homerun.
  7. Don't worry I was having a bit of fun in there as well...
  8. You know it's too slow when our most respected posters feel the need to come.. and blow up a prospect's thread with useless dialogue.
  9. I see what you did there..well played.
  10. I meant way after that initial quote. As in someone asked him to confirm his weight whether it was in lbs or kg. I never verified the source.
  11. Wasn't there a recent source where someone confirmed after speaking with Pettersson that he was indeed 178 lbs?
  12. Pretty sure he's not calling out Vintage....
  13. Does anything think there is a positive to any of this? Even though it's not Olli Juolevi, by having his name called out he might take his off-ice training a little more seriously and possibly play less video games. It's definitely not ideal to have your name dragged through the mud but it has already happened so I hope he is able to utilize this to light a fire under him.
  14. That's where you are wrong. It is a race, and Juolevi is the turtle...he will win in the long run
  15. While I support all your points I have to make a correction. He had 7 points 2 goals 5 assists not 7 goals as you've been leading on.
  16. It doesn't matter what expectations you set for him, he will blow them out of the water. He is the Devil Pussy afterall...
  17. Sorry yes I meant WC...so confusing those one letter abbreviations.
  18. He will set the U-20 record for scoring in the WJC and lead the tournament in scoring of course.
  19. With 19 points in 13 games it also places him firmly into the top 10 of ALL-TIME SHL playoff scoring...(along with top U-20 SHL record as a side-note)
  20. Not sure if it's been mentioned but EP has only played average of 16 minutes of icetime both in regular season and playoffs. Both Nicklas Backstrom and William Nylander played average of 19 minutes during their seasons so when you calculate from a points per minutes played EP's stats would be more impressive and I could see a situation where he has about 16% more points than he currently does if he had played 19 minutes a game.
  21. Bet you 90% of people won't know who that is lol.
  22. Thanks for the update Rob. However I wouldn't put too much emphasis on what an oilers scout says since they haven't exactly been the model of drafting success the last ten years lol jk.
