The funniest thing was that Craig Simpson, at the beginning of the third, said that the Leafs should at least get 6-7 shots and they will most likely be rewarded with 4-5 goals. Guess what, the Leafs did get 6-7 shots but NO GOALS..

And damn, he is leading the team in points...who would of thought.

I agree with what you said that he wasn't chasitsed as he didn't even say he was out of shape. All he said was he and Virt had goals and that Virt didn't meet some. So I don't know how everyone is jumping on Jake and said he was like SUPER OUT OF SHAPE.

I agree to the Tampa deal for screwing over everyone. My personal opinion, he is definitely top 10 but I don't see him better than Hogz or Pods. I am not a scout so I am just basing on me playing fantasy league and doing some research.haha

Or everyone is over valuing prospects such as Tyler Madden. I like Madden too but in the Toffoli trade thread, people seem to praise him as a future 30/40 goal scorer..=/

This is not a game. If everyone can trade scraps for a good player, then everyone will be doing it.

Yeah, I don't even know what is happening. He seems to have lost some confidence. Even at the game where I attended (the Preds game), he seems to be a bit lost (which was something he wasn't for most of the year). To be honest, maybe he is confused why he is demoted and is trying to figure out his game again (to see what can help him get promoted again). Also, in relation to the hits, he did mention that he will try to get the hit if he can but he doesn't want to force the issue. I'm sure he is still nervous to make a wrong move/hit for the likelihood it will result in benching.

Yeah..don't know what happened..He was so consistent up to the All Star Break..and now he seems to have lost his touch...hmmmm

Although I know where you are going with this, Schaller was a reason we gave up Tyler Madden. But even if you look at it purely as a 2nd and third, we gave up exactly that. A 2nd and a third (Tyler Madden).

Wow..am I seeing correctly? Jake with 17+ minutes and more minutes (although slightly) than Petey? Whatda! Don't get me wrong, I am definitely happy but wow! Good on Jake and also on Green for trusting him.

I don't know why everyone is harsh debating about this. It is purely a move by TG to give defenders and even the team itself, a different perspective and a different dynamic. Although statistically BB6 is better than JV18, there are parts of JV18's game that I think is better than BB6, such as speed and physicality and simplicity (maybe it is because JV18 doesn't have the "IQ" that BB6 does) but JV18 is really a straight line and simple player which is great. In relation to what another poster said above and I have also noticed is BB6 has been passing a lot more (even when the pass isn't clear cut) which causes a lot of turnovers during the PP (for example). Therefore, BB6, being on the line with Rooster and Gauds, can be the "Petey" of the line where he can shoot or create offence for the "less talented" players.

Now that I do agree with you. All fans would be over reacting. But what MP did was kind of stupid. You don't cry over it. You suck it up and hit Virt/whoever next game or try to fit Virt/whoever and make Virt/whoever look bad. No point in telling the press. And if he is going to go Mcsorley, at least don't say it before you do it. Stupid.

Are you serious? do you know what it means by incidental? McSorley swinging of his stick was not incidental. Matheson hitting Petey initially was clean but then he added another part to that hit and threw petey down (it became two hits, one clean and one not clean). And to be honest, two men (skating towards each other) and colliding, there is definitely going to be some bounce off each other (which causes the elbows to be incidentally lifted up).
