  1. Then what happens if he gets injured then you blame JB for giving out big contracts. Canucks fans :/
  2. Imo, he isnt but no point in arguing anymore, Green's decisions have been quite weird.
  3. Sorry, you like some other posters, just blindly saying he sucks or was awful when others were much worse. I'm not saying we should compare to the worst but he and the rest of the bottom 6 is not the major current concern with the team. I do believe it is the lack of system the coach has and instead of changing up or mixing up the top 6, he keeps on meddling the bottom 6.
  4. Easy, if people bothered to watch the game, he had a steady game and had like 3-4 hits with a few shots and was having an okay game. Then all of sudden, he turns over the puck (similar to how other players on the team does on a nightly basis), then everyone blames him for the loss and says the reason why the Canucks are losing during this steak is because of him and that he needs to be traded while when others do it, people are like, oh, just a careless mistake, it's fine. The unfairness towards Jake compared to others is just crazy. There are like over a million pages in this gdt/pgt about how Jake cost the game. To be honest, he has played much better since being a healthy scratch.
  5. But sometimes it's funny, when other players give up turnovers, you read only like one or two posts about it but when jake turns it over, you read like 10-15 pages on it, it's just incredible how everyone finds a scapegoat so quickly and easily.
  6. Based on your posts, it seems you don't understand hockey or how free agency works. Just because a team a signed a particular player for x amount, it means we could of done the same thing. Many factors come into play.
  7. Do you people just comment that just for fun or just as a routine thing without thinking?
  8. Actually...it is not that. I think the problem is people still expect him to be the no.6 pick level type of player. For me, I think it is understanding he won't be that player but a serviceable player going forward that can play up and down your lineup and does not negatively affect your team. Yes, he may be pushed out by rookies coming in (i.e. Hogs) but he is decent priced for the fact that he can give some offence and not be a defensive liability. I think everyone is still hating on him because they keep on thinking what he could become but I think as long as you get over that, you will be fine with what he is now.
  9. To be honest, at least Jake plays better D than Gauds. And for hits and shots, no one said a good game for him is two goals. For him, a good game has always been, hit a ton, shoot a lot, play good d which would eventually lead to goals. He has done that.
  10. I think it's the other way around. People still expect too much of him because of his draft position.
  11. He hasn't done his so called "go to move" in years. Actually watch the game please
  12. Really? In his 9 minutes of play, he did quite well. And he was +2..so I don't know how you can say it was his worst game. Also, someone mentioned he is one of the worst players so far for the Canucks this season, I have to strongly disagree (if that poster even bothered watching the game objectively).
  13. I agree, I don't know why people here are so short-sighted. So what if we are first now. If they end up being injured half way and for the rest of their remaining 5 years and 3 years respectively and unable to re-sign Petey and Hughes, the people will go to JB's house with pitch forks.
  14. For Virt, I think he is playing a bit too safe in OT as he finally has a chance to go out so he doesn't want to screw it up and do anything too risky.
