What I don't understand is why Virt scored and only got 9 minutes of ice time? I know it is irrelevant but when Virt got 15 minutes, the Canucks won...while when he got 10 minutes, 12 minutes and now 9 minutes, thee Canucks lost =/

So you rather have him throw a big hit, which might make him miss an assignment and then get benched again? I mean he is hitting (not super hard) and he is also intelligently going into passing lanes to block or disrupt passes. From the few games I have seen, he has won more board battles and have intercepted the puck more than before. Of course he hasn't won ALL the board battles but I see that he has won more in proportion over his previous years.

Of course not, no one said that. But it doesn't mean you can throw him under the bus for everything negative that happens to the Canucks.

Yes, especially when most people got 18-22 minutes while he barely got more than 10 minutes. But yes, let's blame him. He even got 2-3 hits and 2-3 takeaways but yes, let's blame him.

That's the general problem with people on this forum. They read what a few people say and then conclude that "sounds like old Jake is back at it". After watching the post game interviews, reading other forums, articles and even posters on here, it seems Jake did quite well in game 1 but like everyone else, did quite bad on the 2nd game. I didn't watch either games too so I'm not going to say whether he was very good or bad, I just hope you have more basis for that statement. And yes, the hate on Jake is like a drug addiction that people cant get rid of.

I saw the interview and Green didn't blame Jake. But of course the media did. Sad

Virt was tried at PK today, any one have any thoughts on how he did? Green didn't say much during his presser.
