  1. Would have been 2C behind Sakic with PP time together like Forsberg. Legion of Doom line was one of the best in the league for a few seasons and he didn't put up 150 point seasons. Playing in Colorado wouldn't have changed that, also I'm a Canadian Poster saying Forsberg was the better player, offensively AND defensively. Both were dominant though and it is a close comparison.
  2. I'd argue Forsberg>Lindros if it wasn't for foot and knee injuries. Forsberg was next level dominant. Lindros was great Forsberg was better.
  3. General Rule of thumb does not mean there aren't occasionally outliers. Also Peter Forsberg was the best player in that deal anyway.
  4. General rule of thumb is the team that got the best player wins the trade, Bo is the best player in the deal right now.
  5. Points wise sure, overall Bo is the more effective player at a more important role, including games with 70% FO too.
  6. I was going off the Philly game which was mediocre despite him having a point, I have watched a few Islanders games now and Horvat is very noticeable even when not scoring. I think that is the divide here. JT for whatever reason despite producing just isn't noticeable at times.
  7. Except Nylander does not float in the playoffs so, major flaw in your logic there.
  8. A lot of people are really underestimating the Isles especially next year with a full season with Bo.
  9. That’s on me been travelling the last week he’s just looked meh, the games I have watched with sporadic good play.
  10. I have no issue with Bear but I would take TL as return especially if we can sign Schenn back in the summer too
  11. Yet Horvat is still excelling and JT has been good only in spurts since Bo left.
  12. Nylander has been one of their better players the last few playoff series. Not sure why an error he made in his first or second season is the standard you think of him. 30 pts in 39 playoff games no shortage of teams wanting a player like that. Hell I’d move Garland and Boeser to make room for him here especially if the Leafs were dumb enough to add a sweetener.
  13. I liked what Gillis did with the sleep therapy and sports psychologists etc, was very forward thinking. His arrogance always kinda irked me a bit, his lack of addressing our abysmal drafting and developing was frustrating. He was good at adding depth pieces to an extent but got desperate and fell flat on his face at the end. However for 3 of the 6? years he was here he put together a hell of a team.
