  1. Going back in time just off the top of my head Sakic as C over Forsberg Messier C over Gretzky Bucyk C over Orr
  2. Except you can have 1 C and 3 A’s named or 4 A’s
  3. Disagree all you want and as disappointing as his offence has been he is a legit NHL player. Don't confuse overpaid with not an NHLer.
  4. Re-entry waivers only apply to players signed after playing in europe/khl last season that weren't previously in your teams system.
  5. I stopped watching half way through the 2nd game didn't get any better I presume?
  6. Edler is a proven top 2/top 4 dman though...
  7. If there was “risk” with losing Eriksson on waivers he would have been waived a week ago.
  8. Just since Benning’s arrival Demko Tryamkin Gaudette Brisebois on the verge of making the next step Hutton drafted by Gillis developed during Benning’s tenure. Stecher as a college FA, Rafferty and Teves looking promising so far Rafferty being further ahead.
  9. With the way Brisebois and Rafferty showed in the preseason as much as I loved Schenn last year I don't see the point. He's not an upgrade over Fantenberg at this point and Brisebois, and Rafferty and to a lesser extent Sautner are close to NHL ready.
  10. When you follow anyone, with our PK sucks anyways one doesn't assume you don't actually mean anyone though. Also our PK was 11th in the league last season anyway so far from terrible.
  11. When you start off with that in the context of the discussion that was taking place it's easy to think you were being serious.
  12. Good for Bulldog as much as I hate to lose him, guy is a gamer
  13. Andersen was a good pick credit to the Flames on that one. We won the Shinkaruk trade, we got a few serviceable years of Granlund and they got a career AHLer.
  14. Eriksson plays on the PK, was healthy and scored 29 points. Obviously moving Eriksson would be best but that is not realistic at this point nor is waiving him.
  15. Ideally a move involving Eriksson and keeping both Leivo and Baertschi is best, but at $6mil per and average at best offensive play put us in between a rock and a hard place.
  16. Eriksson being waived was never a viable option so your lineup doesn't work. If waiving Gagner at 3.9 was barely passable waiving Eriksson at 6 is a non starter. And again you're ignoring the 200ft element that other players bring that Baertschi isn't as good at.
  17. I don't disagree with that, however Leivo is more likely to be claimed than Baertschi, Baertschi gets injured again and we have one less legit NHL player to call up. It's a gamble either way but I think Leivo is a better fit.
  18. Yeah from what they sold off for, 36 acquired picks 3 NHL players. Drafting players in the top 10 is easy, developing goes deeper than that and their developing has been horrendous.
