  1. I agree, but I can't see us ever going back to the One Referee system. Their union would never stand for it.
  2. Exactly. I made that same point earlier. There were missed calls, of course, but the Canucks had a big edge in PP time. They just didn't take advantage in that series as they had all season. IMO, they were just too beat up. The thing about people posting videos of missed calls as "proof" of some sort of anti-Canuck bias, is that it's just anecdotal. It "proves" exactly nothing. As you and I have already pointed out, a fan of any team in the league could post a montage of video clips that "prove" it's their team the league/refs have it in for. It's really no different than if I posted 2 or 3 clips of Quinn Hughes making brutal giveaways and cite it as "proof" that he's a lousy defenceman.
  3. Even on off days, the news is bad. Milan Borjan suffered some kind of injury against Guatemala and is done for the tournament. https://www.sportsnet.ca/soccer/article/canada-goalkeeper-and-captain-borjan-out-for-remainder-of-gold-cup/
  4. Might want to put Evans in for the last series.....
  5. Nice bounceback on that drive....probably too little too late, but we'll see....
  6. Adams is having a season's worth of terrible decisions today..... Doesn't matter how good your defence is, when you make throws like that.
  7. I've already stated my opinion on this line of thinking. I respect your opinion on most things, but you and others who believe that there are refs (and / or the NHL itself) that are specifically biased against the Canucks are wrong. Full stop.
  8. Need to make some adjustments during the break....stretch the field on O and get back to putting pressure on Kelly on D....
  9. Not sure what VA saw there....
  10. You have the best defence in the league...might as well go for it....
  11. FFS...they're jumping the routes. You have to go deep to keep them honest.
  12. Hmmm.....someone mentioned trying that a while ago.....I wonder who?
  13. When teams are cheating up like that, you need to take a deep shot..... Hopefully, we can keep the Argos to a FG here....
  14. blockers running into each other.... BTW, where's Lucky?
  15. That was a big mistake by Davis.
  16. Lets go VA....need to pick up some field position....
  17. Hate to complain after going up 7-0, but I wish the O Line did a better job of run blocking. Hopefully, they can pick it up as the game goes on.
  18. You really need to pay attention. I was saying that it was deserving of a penalty, as opposed to not deserving of a penalty. The rest of my post is making the point that the punishment is way out of line. I didn't bother with the rest of your post, because literally every team in the NHL can point to specific instances over the years, where they feel they were jobbed by the refs. I think this idea that the league, or the refs (or both) have it in for the Canucks specifically is dumb. Full stop. You and your compatriots can carry on with this nonsense, but you're not going to convince me.....
  19. Not sure who is or isn't aware, but Vince Tobin was also the DC for the BC Lions in the late 70's / early 80's, before moving to the USFL and eventually on to the Bears in the NFL... I actually met him once. He was a guest speaker at a coaching clinic in PG that I was in.
  20. I guess there's some kind of cosmic symmetry over Subway posting a distasteful sign....a Subway outlet in Georgia didn't think it was too soon for this:
  21. He's actually made himself into a good hockey insider, like LeBrun and Dreger, but for some reason, he's always had a blind spot when it comes to the Canucks. (maybe something happened in '94) I remember him criticizing Daniel for standing there and taking Marchand's speed bagging him in the 2011 finals....then the very next season, going on a rant, when Hank actually fought back in a similar situation...."That's not your game!"...or some such nonsense. It seems like Kyper is happy to criticize the Canucks' organization whenever he can...and if there's nothing worth criticizing, he's happy to pretend they don't exist. Of course, this doesn't always happen. He has to occasionally say something good, to give the appearance of impartiality. (He might occasionally praise Petey's game, for instance....or say something positive about Hughes) Still, there has been enough negative Canucks opinion from Kyper over the years that the fanbase doesn't think a lot of him.
  22. Agreed. To my way of thinking, the absolute worst case Ontario would be to bring him up only to see him get shelled again....
  23. Anything is possible, but I'd be very surprised if he came back before the all-star break. I think another start for the Fisher Cats, (or maybe one in Buffalo) is more likely....
