  1. Problem with that is that it only works one muscle.....
  2. Two off-duty cops from Austria take care of an unruly passenger on a flight to Canada: https://www.msn.com/en-ca/news/world/off-duty-police-officers-flying-to-canada-on-vacation-restrain-passenger-who-uttered-threats/ar-AASqIXy?li=AAggNb9 Gotta hand it to them....they didn't even hold a grudge after the beat down we gave them at the World Juniors....
  3. As do I.... On the odd occasion that someone looks askance at me for putting it on a hot dog, I have to make a conscious effort not to go complete "Don Koharski after being asked if he wants a donut to go with his coffee" mode....
  4. Seems to be some discussion about this: https://directorsblog.nih.gov/2021/12/14/the-latest-on-the-omicron-variant-and-vaccine-protection/ This being said, even if the studies quoted in this article turn out to be overly optimistic, I'll still take the 37% protection over zero protection. I'm booked for my booster on the 10th.
  5. And I can't see that scene without thinking of Stephen Wright as the DJ for K-Billy.....
  6. Not at all surprising that a couple of Scotsmen came up with that lyric....
  7. it's really not that difficult to figure out. Hippy questioned Rogan's credibility and you responded by posting an graph showing his ratings. No "mind reading" required at al.
  8. CNN is the "George Soros" of media outlets for the right.... They're not even the furthest left outlet, but they're easy to spell.....
  9. You think ratings = credibility? Really?
  10. John Garrett is my kind of Nutritionist.... ....he thinks ketchup is a vegetable....
  11. We had a few days of rain and then warmer temps over the weekend. Today it's back to sunny and cold, so the entire town is basically a skating rink. Places selling rock salt are pretty much all limiting to 1 bag per customer.
  12. I don't think that article supports your position at all. It's an entirely simplistic way to look at a statement of possible results under certain conditions, and attribute it as being "wrong". I would use this as an analogy: Me: Someone in a car crash might have died, had they not been wearing a seatbelt. You: They survived, so you're wrong....
  13. A professional liar. As are the majority of his guests,.
  14. And what makes me "roll my eyes" is that you didn't even pay close enough attention that you're mixing up the Malone quote from an article that says nothing about a "fact check", with an article about McCullough, which does.
  15. Why would I want to learn from someone who is actively promoting disinformation? Speaking of "politics", do you honestly believe that Steve Bannon is not making this completely political?
  16. Can't speak for anyone else, but I don't have a "narrative". I simply follow he advice of the medical experts and disregard the few outliers who seem to believe they have knowledge that the rest of the medical community at large is not privy to. Besides which, I have not claimed that there is no valid information being disseminated. Only that there is definitely disinformation being disseminated, which casts the rest of the information in doubt.
  17. Apparently, not all "learning" is the same..... https://www.theatlantic.com/science/archive/2021/08/robert-malone-vaccine-inventor-vaccine-skeptic/619734/ McCullough: https://factcheck.afp.com/us-cardiologist-makes-false-claims-about-covid-19-vaccination https://www.medpagetoday.com/special-reports/exclusives/93936 https://healthfeedback.org/claimreview/joe-rogan-interview-with-peter-mccullough-contains-multiple-false-and-unsubstantiated-claims-about-the-covid-19-pandemic-and-vaccines/ Seems to me that you've fallen into the very trap that you say others have fallen into.....You've found a couple of medical professionals whose opinions mirror your own. Ergo, they are correct. The thousands of experts who disagree with them are incorrect and all us sheeple been hoodwinked by them. Of course, this sort of thing is incomplete without just a little bit of conspiracy thrown in, so we see that those bastions of truth, Joe Rogan and Steve Bannon, are the only ones giving these two a platform for distributing their "truths", while the rest of the journalistic community muzzles them...
  18. ....and the Bengals with the FG as time expires. That clinches the AFC North and puts them in the playoffs. @Pears Good luck, brother. Except if and when you face the Bills, of course.....
  19. Exciting finish between the Bengals and Chiefs right now....
  20. Bills just caught a pretty huge break. Matt Ryan scrambles for what should have been a TD, but he started his slide about a half yard too soon. Thinking he has the score, he spikes the ball in the face of Jordan Poyer and earns a 15 yd taunting penalty. After the booth review shows his knee down at the one, it ends up 3rd and goal from the 16. Two missed passes later, it's first down Bills, still up by two TDs....
  21. Because studies suggest that the vaccine efficacy starts to wane after 6 months.
  22. I was wondering how many of the anti-vax crowd were going to make themselves look foolish before someone pointed out this painfully obvious fact.....
  23. ....and suggesting that they're lying for some nefarious but unspecified reason about a deadly virus, is not only stupid, but it can be dangerous to the more gullible element of society. Rest assured: Every time someone throws shade at government Covid measures, they're reinforcing the misguided beliefs of the anti-vax crowd....
