  1. Sure, but at the same time, outright lies shouldn't be ignored, just because someone is "speaking their mind" In the clip, even though as Futz pointed out, Trump was telling people to take the vaccine, he was also saying he developed 3 vaccines, which is at best, a stretch. Anyway, I'm going to agree in general with both of you. With Trump, you take what good you can get and I agree that he deserves some credit for doing / saying the right thing here, just as he and Bill O'Reilly did in their last seminar, or whatever their calling it.
  2. I commented in the other thread, but my impression is that she was trying to take a cheap shot at Biden and figured Trump would be only too happy to pile on. What she didn't take into account was that Trump was always going to be more focused on pumping his own tires, rather than letting the air out of JB's....
  3. They had a different slogan when I was there: "Welcome to Melville....at least we ain't Yorkton"
  4. Funny, I had almost that exact same experience the first time I was in Melville.... ....well...minus the big band part....
  5. I think we all knew this without being told, but now that he's leaving office, the former NIH Director is telling us anyway: https://thehill.com/homenews/administration/586539-nih-director-says-trump-republicans-pressured-him-to-back-unproven Who would have guessed that Bone Spurs would put pressure on someone to back up his stupidity? Oh, everyone? K....
  6. I think so, but don't quote me on that. I'm old, so I go in after work and leave at supper time. I'm snoozing on my couch long before closing time.
  7. Last I heard, you are good if you serve food as well as booze, but no more than 6 people per table and they have to maintain a certain distance between tables.
  8. Good to hear. Sounds like you took a real spanking in that match....
  9. Always prudent to have a separate machine for porn....that way you don't mess up any other accounts.... ....or so I'm told....
  10. Yeah, I actually went looking for it on the U of E website. Nothing. @Russ Maybe you could find the actual source?
  11. There's nothing wrong with that. It's just that there's a bunch of f***tartds out there who A: didn't like Fauci making Bone Spurs look like the moron he is (by telling the truth), or B: think masks and vaccines infringe on their "rights" to be selfish a$$holes, or are somehow anti-religion....
  12. Yeah, we use a VC app called Bluejeans and an LMS called Brightspace, so it isn't too bad for Instructors. However, the rest of the staff kind of rely on their network drives and apps that reside within the domain, so most of them would need a way to access the domain remotely. We would have to know if that was a possibility a few weeks ago, in order to make that happen.
  13. Oh. Is that what you were doing? I guess you did then. Thanks for letting us know that you were just "disrupting", rather than engaging in honest debate. I'll know what to look for in the future.....
  14. Yep. The proverbial "damned if you do...damned if you don't" scenario. I for one am satisfied with the response by the province. There have been mistakes made along the way, but it was uncharted territory.
  15. Been snowing all day here on the North Coast....
  16. Of course we are. We're westerners. What Jimmy and I have been saying is that whatever the Chinese think about it (and again, we disagree with your assessment, no matter your superior opinion) what's important to us is the ability to look ourselves in the mirror every day. You may see it as "stroking our moral ego" (and it's moral, not "morale", BTW) but to us, it's making the statement that China doesn't deserve these games and if we don't acknowledge our opinions, it's tantamount to saying we're okay with their actions.
  17. I can't speak to the situation with K-12, but we haven't been given any kind of notice here at Coast Mountain College. I work in IT, so we would absolutely have to be in the loop. It's technically possible for some people to do their job strictly via web access, but there are also dozens (if not hundreds) who need access to files and applications that are only accessible by being connected to our domain. For that you would need VPN or some sort of Remote Desktop access. That isn't something that you can do with a single click....
  18. "Fox and CNN are the same"..... Do any of you apologists honestly still believe that garbage?
