  1. I generally avoid PGTs after a loss, but I just want to point out that although I'm sure Green and Benning are getting the lion's share of the blame for last night's loss, that blame should be shared by two players who took selfish penalties. The PK has been awful (and a bit unlucky last night, if we're being honest) and players should think about that when the look fro retribution in a tie game....
  2. The thing that really hits home for me is that he thinks it's "lol" funny that Rittenhouse may be exonerated....as if the deaths of two people is something to laugh at.... ...but hey, just so long as some libtards are unhappy, all is good....
  3. @Gnarcore....see what I mean? There's always at least one gun "expert" jumping in to show us their vast knowledge of all things gun related, as if it lends added credibility to their point of view....
  4. Right.... Which one of us is throwing around the words "idiot", "lefty turd" and thinks it will be "funny" when someone who killed two people will be exonerated....
  5. I think this tells us all we need to know about you....
  6. I'm betting he knew there was no bullet in the chamber, but of course that isn't as much fun as calling someone an idiot....
  7. A car dealership. Apparently, he was walking around the inspecting the damage from the previous night's protest and offered to help at a dealership that had been vandalized the night before. He started off there, but for some reason decided to go on a walkabout. It appeared as though he was looking for people who needed first aid. At some point, he decided to go back to the dealership, but the cops had the access blocked off.
  8. You think that gun is loaded? I'm the furthest thing froma gun expert, but even to my inexperienced eye, it appears as though there is no clip in that weapon....
  9. I wouldn't have run away from an unarmed man if I was armed. (not that I would ever be) And again, how would I have known he "committed arson". (If he even did) I don't think you're pointing out any fallacy. You're consistently misrepresenting what I say. You're also consistently bringing up factors that Rittenhouse would have no knowledge of, as if they are relevant to him fearing for his life.
  10. The video that I saw didn't actually give a clear view of the shooting, but you can hear four shots in rapid succession and then a delay of a few seconds, before three more shots are fired. I have to wonder why those last three shots were considered necessary....
  11. As a former bartender, I've dealt with aggressive people many times, as well as some who came across as unstable. However, in none of those cases was I in any way aware of whether or not they had a criminal record. As I have stated before, Rosenbaum's history, as bad as it is, is irrelevant to this case. BTW: It doesn't excuse his actions, but I wonder how many stone throwers ITT are aware that Rosembaum was himself sexually assaulted as a minor and bounced around Foster homes, because his mother (who raised him alone) was sent to prison when he was 13....
  12. Again, you misunderstand. When the so-called "death threat" occurred, Rosenbaum was not "attacking" Rittenhouse. He was shooting his mouth off (if it even happened) and KR knew he was unarmed. If he feared for his life in such a scenario, he's either a coward or a lousy shot. Either way, he never should have put himself in that position.
  13. I had, shall we say, a "discussion" with another poster, who predicted certain doom had we let Grichuk go.
  14. My beef is that it is used by the pro-gun crowd to throw shade on any anti-gun argument. The classic "you don't know what you're talking about" argument, as if it really makes a difference in a case like this...
  15. Speaking of Eustaquio, I mentioned after the Costa Rica match, that I'm more and more impressed every time I see him.... The service on that set piece that resulted in Larin's second goal showed it once again. With the likes of Phonsie, David, Larin, etc., he flies a bit under the radar, but I love what he brings to the team.
  16. So the Coq looks like it's going to be a long term proposition....what's the situation with 97? From what I can tell, Abby is the only thing blocking it, so what's the prognosis? If it's also going to take time, it looks like they might have to go through Washington State, which means they'll have to relax Covid testing rules.
  17. Maybe provide a link to the politifact article, so we can see what exactly we're discussing
  18. I think both of them are gone and if I'm being honest, I'm not too bothered. Like Sean (and others) said, both are going to get paid and as much as it hurts to lose them, the Jays need to find less expensive options, so they can afford to address other needs. (like the bullpen) The guy I really wanted back is Berrios, so I'm happy so far. I think they will have to play Biggio, Valera and Espinal and live with the drop in production without Semien. It's still a pretty potent offense. Ray, IMO, is the bigger loss, but I'm hoping that Pearson and Stripling can contribute enough to the rotation that Shatkins can look for a less expensive, mid rotation starter. I could see Gurriel used as trade bait, even though I'd much rather move Grichuk.
  19. @-SN- We were discussing this stuff in the Whitecaps thread last night, before Defcon suggested it deserved it's own. Is it possible to migrate that stuff over?
  20. That was Eustaquio.....who's no slouch himself.... but it looked like he was running in sand beside Phonsie...
  21. That's not what Grosskreutz said. He said he saw KR shoot one of the other victims. It makes perfect sense that he would consider Rittenhouse to be an active shooter. That being said, Grosskreutz did something very stupid. he pointed a gun at an armed man without the intent to use it. That's going to get you shot far more often than not, especially by someone who has already been shown to have no compunctions about killing someone. Still, that doesn't change the fact that it's reasonable to consider someone in KR's position to be an active shooter.
  22. This assumes that they knew this was the case. The third victim, testified that he thought Rittenhouse was an active shooter. After seeing KR kill a man, I'd say it was a reasonable assumption...
