  1. I think that if there's a racist or bigoted policy that came from the Trump administration, 100% of the time, it started out on Stephen Miller's desk.... He's the biggest piece in what was a giant pile of sh**, that was the Trump cabinet.
  2. I would prefer to leave this sort of thing to people who understand it better than myself, but it seems to me that phrases like "viral load" can be misleading... As I understand it the Oxford study suggested that both vaccinated and unvaccinated people can transmit the virus, but they are far more likely infect an unvaccinated person. https://www.beckershospitalreview.com/pharmacy/pfizer-recipients-infected-with-delta-have-same-viral-load-as-the-unvaccinated-oxford-study-says.html This being the case, it seems to me that the Oxford study and others like it, don't really support the suggestion that vaccines aren't effective against getting Covid, or if ones does become infected, requiring hospitalization. I'd be interested in hearing @Jaimito's take on this....
  3. Hmmmm....so....21 millennia DL....or LTIR?
  4. Yes. Clearly his advisers were addled.... .....maybe his vice-advisers should step in....
  5. I dunno.... .....could be seen as overt faberatism....
  6. I think the popular choice would be Geordi LaForge.....If the show runners are paying attention (and the fact that Richards is stepping aside suggests they are) Burton would be the consensus choice. Still, I never underestimate the ability of upper management to misread the room....
  7. Further to that point, why does criticism of Biden have to amount to bias towards Trump?
  8. CNN is not the most liberal of all networks. (That would be MSNBC) They've been critical of Biden since the first announcement of the troop withdrawal. Can you imagine Fox news doing the same to Trump? BTW: There are also online and print publication further Left than CNN. CNN is just a convenient target for those who actually believe that Faux is "Fair and balanced"....
  9. Although I agree that the Biden admin screwed up the withdrawal, his critics seem to have forgotten how the previous admin convinced the Aghan government to release 5000 Taliban fighters: https://www.thedailybeast.com/chris-wallace-confronts-mike-pompeo-asks-do-you-regret-giving-taliban-legitimacy As a few have already pointed out, there is plenty of blame to go around. Trying to lay it all at one person's feet is either disingenuous, or ignorant of the facts.
  10. Meanwhile Governors are passing laws that ban mask mandates..... https://www.cnn.com/2021/08/17/us/mississippi-teenager-dies-covid/index.html I wonder how many kids are going to die, before clowns like Abbott and DeSantis realize that playing politics during a deadly pandemic has dire consequences.....
  11. No one is denying that Alf. I'm just questioning why NewsMax runs an article entitled "Woman killed over Burka" and then the actual clip is about something completely different? As I said earlier, looks like conservative clickbait to me....
  12. Not at all. In fact, I'm blaming them for not covering it. The title suggests it's all about a woman being killed for not wearing a Burka, but it's not covered at all.
  13. If you see something on NewsMax, the only other place you're likely to find it is on OANN, Breitbart, or Faux.
  14. So for seven minutes the host and his two guests talk about everything besides the woman who was supposedly killed for not wearing a Burka, except for one brief interjection from one guest about "the woman that was killed last night". They actually (predictably) spent more time talking about "open borders" and how terrorists can just fly to Mexico and "walk in" to the US. No actual background on the "killing", no video, no report. Just a click bait headline from one of the worst possible sources there is.
  15. Ridiculous assessment. He's light years better than Trump. Just because he underestimated the speed with which the Taliban would retake Afghanistan, it doesn't man that he's all of a sudden as bad as Trump, or "not fully aware".
  16. Sadly, it appears as though some people here are in need of a (recent) history lesson: https://www.factcheck.org/2021/08/timeline-of-u-s-withdrawal-from-afghanistan/ The article continues on, explaining Biden's failings as well, but the above excerpt should explain why Trump is germane to the discussion.
  17. Trump is the one that started this whole mess....Biden botched the actual withdrawal, but it doesn't all fall at his feet.
  18. What I believe is that you don't know WTF you're talking about. Unless you have a medical degree that we don't know about and have somehow managed to get ahold of Biden's medical history..... If you went back far enough in the Trump thread, you'd see that I was pulling for Harris to get the nomination in the early days of the Primary, so you can take your Strawman query and shove it down your cat hole....
  19. Apples and Orangutans. Heffey isn't attempting to diagnose a mental illness with zero credentials to back it up. He's merely making a physical observation. Similar to how I can state that Trump is fat and stupid, without being gainsaid, but I can't claim he's insane, because I'm not qualified to make that diagnosis.
  20. I think we can all also see that if it were Trump in Biden's position right now, these same people would be defending the move.
  21. This just in: Alf thinks Biden is "addled".... Just in case anyone missed the hundreds of times he's made that claim in this thread.
  22. I think the point of the post was to point out that most of the people that supported Trump's policies, but are now expressing concern for the Afghan people, are crying crocodile tears.... He's bang on in that regard,
  23. I think I can help Bo....for the slingshot, I propose they use the same type of plastic they use for utensils at KFC.... ....absolutely unbreakable....
