  1. I just post criticisms where they're warranted. I don't go looking for them, or try to frame something innocuous into an incident worth criticizing.
  2. Meh. I'm an equal opportunity basher. Betsy DeVos, Ron DeSantis, Brian Kemp, Ted Cruz, Scott Pruitt, Jeff Sessions, Steve Miller, Sarah Sanders, Stephen Harper, Doug Ford, the pro-gun lobby, Climate Change deniers, Fox News....I've posted criticisms about all of them....
  3. 'Struth....but the poster in question seems to only have a hard on for JT.....
  4. C'mon Jimmy, quit throwing cold water on the Trudeau bashing circle jerk....
  5. If you thought nothing could be worse than the original Christiano Ronaldo statue....well, you'd be wrong: That's Mo Salah, if you hadn't guessed.... Actually, it kind of looks like Bryan Adams with a 'Fro....
  6. I really hope these two get what's coming to them: https://www.cnn.com/2018/11/07/us/children-fight-club-video-daycare/index.html WTF is wrong with some people....
  7. Not sure if it's "terminal", but it's definitely in need of a few rounds of Chemo....
  8. Always good to see Jerry Jones lose...especially at home and especially in front of a national audience...
  9. I'm at the opposite end of the spectrum...I'm tired of these retreads and I'd like to see ownership think outside the box (slightly) with the next hiring. I've been advocating for this guy for quite a while, actually: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Glen_Constantin
  10. That's a bit of a catch-22. If major league pitchers start hanging golden sombreros on him, it could hurt his confidence. I think he'll be in the bigs sooner, rather than leter, but I also believe that management will be careful with him.
  11. We'll see. If all goes according to plan.... Still, we have to remember that he just got to Triple A.
  12. They probably wouldn't, but I think it's moot point anyway. I can't imagine 'Caps' ownership shelling out the kind of money it would take for a "name" signing.
  13. Left for greener pastures. Not sure why he'd consider coming back, especially with the train wreck that the club is right now. If it were just a matter of money, there are better options that the 'Caps could throw a pile of cash at. Just look at the effect Rooney has had on DC United.
  14. We couldn't keep a clean sheet with KW in the lineup. I can just imagine how it's going to be without him, especially since Lenarduzzi said they'll trade him at below market value. Something tells me that DeJong will get regular playing time at the back, so we better find some players who can outscore the lack of defending ability.
  15. Solarte is an interesting story. He looked like a fantastic pick up in the first half of the season, but he faded badly in the 2nd half and his defense was mediocre at best. I'm thinking that the Jays might just play Russell Martin at third more often and let Jansen have the catching job. RM could be the third stringer, if someone goes on the DL. If you're already dealing with sub-par defense at third, you might as well get something for the 20 million that Martin is going to make next year.
  16. It was nice to see that last night. Such a great player....but just can't seem to stay healthy. I thought he was going to start crying in the post-game interview....
  17. Let me guess: He blamed everyone but himself.... ...he should change his name to Bob Trump...
  18. Well, we can agree to disagree, I suppose. Robbo bears responsibility for sure, but to suggest that Lenarduzzi doesn't deserve just as much criticism is wrong, IMHO.
  19. Although Carl probably needed to go, I think it's unfair to lay all of this at his feet. He didn't decide how much the club spends on players, he just uses what's available to him and tries to build a competitive club with it. How successful he was in that regard, is another debate. It's worth noting that one of the reasons for Waston's desire to leave was the firing of Robinson. Again, whether KW's complaint is warranted is a matter for debate, but I think even Robinson's biggest critic would have to admit that firing him so late in the season in the hope that it would spur the team on to a playoff spot, failed spectacularly. I'm fine with a new coach. It was probably time anyway, but IMHO, nothing will truly get better until Lenarduzzi is shown the door as well.
  20. Obviously, the thing to do is lie. Americans listen to so many lies from their dear leader, they must be desensitized by now. I just wouldn't show up carrying a snowboard....
  21. As if this season wasn't disappointing enough, now Kendall Waston wants out: https://www.sportsnet.ca/soccer/whitecaps-captain-kendall-waston-reiterates-desire-leave-club/ He says he’s been loyal to the Whitecaps since joining the club in 2014, but leaving is the best decision for his family. The Costa Rican international says he’s been looking at opportunities with other clubs but declined to name specific teams or leagues. The Whitecaps missed the playoffs this year, finishing in eighth place in the Major League Soccer’s Western Conference with a 13-13-8 record. Waston has tallied 14 goals and four assists in 114 regular-season games in Vancouver. He doesn't like two-faced people....I wonder who he could be talking about there? My guess is a certain Italian-Canadian who's been running this club for far too long...
  22. Jays have a club option for next year at 8 million. They'll probably exercise it and give Tellez another year of development. Smoak is UFA in 2020 and by that time, he'll probably be gone.
  23. Love the tweet from the Texas Rangers; "Hey Dodgers! The support group for back to back World Series losers meets on Tuesdays!"
