  1. Attacking you? I asked if you had a source to back up your claim. If it's just an opinion, the easy thing to do would have been to just say so.
  2. No.I wasn't the one making the claim. That's why i asked if you could back it up.
  3. I'm not saying you're wrong Alf, but do you have some statistics to back up that assertion? I'd be interested in seeing the numbers,as I would have thought we were getting better.
  4. Agreed. Not having Parker there is going to create some uncertainty. Hopefully they can tighten it up, because it looked pretty porous late in that match.
  5. As you say, it's only one game, but it was a bit disturbing to me to see the repeat of what we saw so often last season: The team sitting back with what appeared to be a comfortable lead. The final quarter hour or so was played far too much in the 'Caps end, IMO. I understand the idea of making sure you have men back, but I'd like to see the team continue attacking, right until the final whistle.
  6. Watched the second half of that match. The goal by Kamara was a thing of beauty, Cracking header. I had one criticism of 'Phonsie, although I admit I might be nitpicking a bit. On his goal, it looked like he just tried to guide the ball into the net and what should have been a sure goal after a perfect cross from Techera, was almost saved by the Impact 'Keeper. A true top-flight striker makes sure to bury those chances, as I'm sure Davies will. Eventually.
  7. It was nearly bang on. Most polls had Hillary leading by around 3 points by November, 2016. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nationwide_opinion_polling_for_the_United_States_presidential_election,_2016 She won the popular vote by around 3 million votes, or 2%. I can't see a reason for anyone to be "flabbergasted"...
  8. I tried to insinuate nothing. I was genuinely confused by your criticism of the situation in Alberta because you had been bragging about it shortly beforehand. I mentioned no political party, nor did I have any intent to. TBH, I didn't have a clue what you were talking about when you brought up the NDP. As far as contributing to the Trump thread being locked, you're clearly projecting. I've been here for 15 years without so much as a warning. If I had to guess, I'd say that it was probably the people making baseless accusations of pedophilia that got the thread locked. YMMV...
  9. Been here all along. But I'm not surprised you didn't notice. You don't even seem to be able to keep up with your own posts...
  10. You sure straightened me out.... ...with a post made after I commented on yours...
  11. Funny story making the rounds about JR Smith being suspended by the Cavs after throwing a bowl of soup at an assistant coach, after a loss to the Sixers... There's been widespread discussion over what kind of soup it was, but the team is apparently keeping that information "in the locker room". My guess is that it was something with beef....
  12. As I've stated many times before, I am decidedly not a fan of Italian Football, but this is a blow to the sport: https://www.cnn.com/2018/03/04/football/italian-footballer-fiorentina-davide-astori-dies/index.html 31 is way too young....
  13. Hmmm....I must have misread your posts... I could have sworn you said that Alberta is the fastest growing and the highest in education spending...hence my confusion when you turned around and criticized it later.
  14. Nothing. It has noting to do with basketball, or trigonometry either...what's your point?
  15. Weren't you just bragging about how it's the fastest growing province in Canada and spends more on education than any other?
  16. Nor should you be, since I also said I don't care about Trump and his second scoop of ice cream, or his eating KFC with a knife and fork. I care about the important stuff.
  17. And I'm with him. The photo with the "terrorist" was dumb and the dressing up thing wasn't his finest moment, but to quote one of you compadres, it's pretty much a nothingburger. No long term damage done to the planet, no throwing people off their healthcare, no calling Neo-Nazis "fine people"......
  18. So let me preface this by saying that it's actually pretty funny, but in this day and age, with the #metoo movement happening all around us, it's shall we say just a tad tone deaf? https://www.msn.com/en-ca/sports/more-sports/lane-kiffin-i-look-at-assistants-wives-to-see-if-they-are-good-recruiters/ar-BBJP3Yg?li=AAggNb9
  19. And I guarantee we'll see similar headlines, when the election actually does roll around. By then, people will have largely forgotten the India trip and Scheer will actually have to campaign on policy, rather than just be critical of everything Trudeau does and says (or wears)
  20. We just got our first significant dump of snow here in PR. Had to go out and shovel twice, after the snowplow went by. People in Terrace and Kitimat have been dealing with huge amounts of snow all winter. That's how much difference 90 miles can make... Meanwhile, a scary pileup on the Coq: https://www.msn.com/en-ca/news/world/coquihalla-highway-closed-in-both-directions-after-accident-injures-29/ar-BBJAL6N?li=AAggNb9 You're always concerned when you hear "buses" and "embankment". Here's hoping no-one loses their lives.
  21. Give Cashman a call....NY is the place for Prima Donnas anyway...
