  1. I'm a Bills fan. I thought that was pretty clear, since there are only two us in this thread and one is actually from Buffalo... I will admit that the natural AFC East rivalry with the Pats had me pulling for the 'Hawks, but the Patriots win certainly wasn't the end of the world for me. My point all along has been that no matter what the Seahawks fans did, or would have done had they won that game, the bigger man would have resisted the urge to rub it in afterwards. It really makes no difference what Baldwin said about "respect", or whatever... Before the game, this thread was littered with Patriots fans lamenting the fact that their team is labeled "cheaters" and wondering why everyone dislikes the Patriots and their fans. And then you guys start trolling as soon as the game ends. That's "why". I'll put it another way: Remember the 2012 playoffs, when the Kings beat the Canucks? Remember the Kings' Twitter guy saying "To the rest of Canada, you're welcome"? What did you think of that? Did you think that we as Canuck fans "had it coming"? You, Magician, Apple Juice, etc., are all doing pretty much exactly the same thing.
  2. No idea what a "qq'er" is, but my first post after the game was lamenting NPF's trolling of Seahawks fans. Instead of celebrating his win, he was celebrating their loss. Anyone who has chimed in on one of my posts since that one is implicitly agreeing with and defending what he wrote.
  3. I really have no idea what this has to do with anything I've said.
  4. That's what I said. You have the right to gloat and rub it in, but as I also said, don't be surprised if the rest of the football world hates Pats Nation because of it.
  5. Which is your right, I suppose... However, when you and your cronies are whining about how everyone hates the Patriots and their fans, just revisit this thread to see why.
  6. Two great Tweets by ESPN's Darren Rovell: "Least Mode" and my personal favorite... Marshawn Lynch: "You know why I'm here" Pete Carroll: "No. Obviously I don't"
  7. As I said to NPF, some people prefer to win with class. Others don't. Don't be sorry. Your team won, so you have the "right" to gloat and rub it in. I'm sure you're correct. If not for an abysmally stupid play call by the 'Hawks' OC, you be listening to it instead of dishing it out....and I'd be calling out the Seahawks fans for their lack of class. You guys carry on.
  8. And even worse, Terrence Cody, formerly of the Ravens is arrested for animal cruelty. The story doesn't go into much detail, but (unconfirmed) internet scuttlebutt suggests that Cody was high and thought it would be fun to feed his dog to an alligator. He sobered up, but apparently not until after the dog had suffered injuries that ultimately killed it. http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/12268940/terrence-cody-formerly-baltimore-ravens-indicted-animal-abuse
  9. A pretty lame bunch this year. I thought the one where the guy got to be Pac-Man was pretty cool and like JR, i teared up a bit on the "daddy" one, but for the most part they were pretty forgettable.
  10. I didn't hear it quite said that way, but the point is moot. The classy thing would have been to ignore it, rather than come back afterward and rub it in. But hey, your team won, so carry on with the gloating.
  11. Actually, I was being sarcastic. I didn't think there was anything classy about the post that I quoted. Basically a guy who's team won, now rubbing it in.
  12. I agree that Brady had an excellent game, but if I was selecting the MVP of that game, it would have gone to Edleman. Nothing to do with "hate".
  13. GJ NPF. Classy in victory....
  14. Watched the second half over a buddy's place yesterday. There were five of us there, with varying degrees of experience in the game, however, it was unanimous that the slant call was the worst head coaching decision we had ever seen in a SB. I had just finished saying that I would hand the ball to Marshawn three more times, if necessary. Absolutely horrible play call by Carroll. On the plus side, one of my friends needed a Pats' win and 52 total points, for a come from behind win in his playoff pool.
  15. I remember arguing with a lot of people about that last play. I understand that the Titans were using Wycheck to clear out and that Dyson was supposed to have a clear lane up the middle, but they counted on the Rams biting and although it worked after a fashion, Mike Jones was able to recover before Dyson could get in. I hated the call because it counted on the Rams being fooled. IMHO, with one play left, you have to take a shot at the end zone. McNair had gotten them to the 10 yd line and I think he could have gotten them into the end zone with a better play call.
  16. Nice to know that I'm not the only one who thinks this. Venus isn't much better, either.
  17. I am at the opposite end of the spectrum. You dislike Sharapova for her "arrogance" and apparently have some issue with Genie, because she was in a bad mood after a loss... Personally, I hope for Serena to lose 100% of the time and I'm betting that line judges throughout the tennis world do as well. http://www.theguardian.com/sport/2009/sep/13/serena-williams-tirade-us-open
  18. Okay everyone.... Try and guess who Mak is cheering for....
  19. I played minor football as a kid. Unfortunately, there was no high school, or Junior football in PG, so I wasn't able to continue on after that. The only option was Flag Football, which I played in my late teens and then in my 30's and 40's, when I moved to Prince Rupert. The unfortunate thing about football is that it's so expensive. The equipment per player can run into hundreds of dollars. For most communities, it's just too difficult to keep up with those kinds of expenses. The result is, although people love football, many don't really understand it. I remember when I first started playing here in Prince Rupert and tried to explain a zone defense to my teammates. I might as well have been speaking a different language. I also learned quickly that I couldn't call a "post" or "corner" route in the huddle and expect the receiver to understand. It would be nice to see a bigger grassroots movement in BC, but it's tough. Many families are already shelling out for hockey and one expensive sport is all they can handle. This is why soccer dominates the other seasons.
  20. To add insult to injury, the amount of money he makes is absolutely ridiculous. Last year, he pulled in 44 million...
  21. The Bangor Daily News? Man, that's digging deep, H. I'm going to go out on a limb and guess that a guy from Maine just might be pulling for the Pats... I'm sure glad we're getting close to game day. I don't know about anyone else, but I am sick of seeing posts about "deflate-gate" and what Marshawn didn't say to the media today... Yes to your first question. As to your second, I can't speak for all parents, but the birth of my first child in no way meant more to me than that of my second.
  22. Austin Collie? We're going to need a Dawg Pound at BC Place...
  23. I was there to see my children being born, however, I wasn't on a SB roster at the time. I would be at the game.....and I'm positive my wife would understand.
  24. Genie just changed coaches this year. (Although, it was a move back to a former coach from her Junior days)
