  1. I think you're probably right about that. Hence my message to the zebras, stating that the Pats don't need their help...
  2. Wow. Bailey hits a 56 yarder like it's nothing....
  3. Nice block by Luke Wilson. "Search your feelings, Luke. I am your quarterback!"
  4. One last thing NPF, and it's one I think we can agree on 100%.... The most important thing is that the Jets and the Phish both lost.
  5. The point you're missing is that I never claimed that the Bills would have won without those calls. I only said it would have been nice to see what happened. You were the one who claimed that they would have lost regardless. Anyway, I suppose we can revisit this in late December, although I think the game will be meaningless for both teams by then.
  6. Of course you don't. You don't believe that they were the beneficiaries of bad calls, so why would you?
  7. Sorry, my bad. "What if" and "Should've been" are two diametrically opposed concepts. I don't know why were even discussing this. You don't believe that the Pats were helped out by the zebras anyway. Except of course for the one they "deserved" because of something that happened last year....
  8. Didn't you? Was this someone else?
  9. Murray fumbles out of bounds....with no-one anywhere near him....
  10. It's always fun to play "what if?" What if the Pats don't score thanks to that first PI penalty? What if the Bills do score on the drive when Watkins was flagged? Watkins gets credit for another catch and another 10 or so yards. Maybe he catches a couple more on that drive and all of a sudden, Revis hasn't shut him down. (BTW, a bad snap isn't the same as a bad call) Margin of victory is 15 points. The points above account for two scores.... It's easy to pretend you know what would have happened, but you don't.
  11. Doesn't everyone? Pretty good tilt going in Cincy right now. Bot the Bengals and the Panthers have OT field goals. Dalton to get another chance...
  12. As someone who's played for over 40 years, I can tell you that extended time spent on the field absolutely has an effect on a defence, whether those drives are extended in the 1st, 2nd, 2rd or 4th quarters. That fatigue usually manifests itself late in the game as, IMO, it did on the last Patriots touchdown drive.
  13. I'd say that the "tuck rule" call should have been enough to last the Pats for a long time. But as someone who doesn't follow them much other than wins and losses, I'll take you word for it. Regarding this game, as you said, we'll agree to disagree on whether the zebras helped your guys. However, I think you're a guy who understands how such things work, so I will ask you one question: What do you think the cumulative effect is on a defence, when they are forced to stay on the field, thanks to penalty calls extending drives for the opposition and shortening drives for their offence? Do you think they might lose a step and lead to some of those plays that you mentioned in your previous post?
  14. You're right, they did. Would have been nice to see what the final score had been without the bad calls. But whatever. Bills'fans are used to getting this sort of treatment, just as Pats fans are used to getting the benefit of the doubt. Enjoy the win.
  15. Hilarious. You state that they're not bad calls, then you say you'll take the bad calls. You're correct that the Bills' defender didn't get his head around, but he also did nothing to warrant a pass interference call. The zebras might as well be wearing while today.
  16. Imagine that. One of the Bills gets pushed into Brady and a hanky flies.... They're not even trying to hide it.
  17. Looks like half of CDC isn't the only ones cheering for the Pats today. The guys in stripes seem to be as well. 2nd brutal PI call in a row. One gives the Pats points and the other takes them away from the Bills. Someone should give the zebras the message: New England is a pretty good team. They shouldn't need any help against Buffalo...
  18. Yeah, I saw that. I have to admit that I was thinking the word "Karma", seeing as both Klose and Podolski are Polish....
  19. Have to laugh at this. Before the start of the game, the Fox panelists were asked for their "sure thing" predictions for the early games today. Bradshaw's was the Steelers over the Browns, because Pittsburgh "Never loses to Cleveland. Never!"
  20. It was a good win, but the thing is, it's depressing at the same time. Antolin and Jackson looked great, but it was against the Redblacks... Meanwhile we get to see Lulay up in the spotter's box all night and Harris, Logan, Burnham, CT and Manny sitting on the sidelines in street clothes all night. As good as it is to get back in the win column, I think we all realize that this team cannot seriously compete for the Grey Cup.
  21. Hard to believe that it's been almost a year since anyone posted in this thread. I guess it's because Cyril hasn't been around for a while... Anyway, had to come in and brag a bit about my Sooners winning the red River Showdown today against the Longhorns. It wasn't an oil painting, but a win is a win and Bob Stoops becomes the first Sooners coach to get into double digits in wins against Texas.
  22. The two challenges by Martins were the worst. Slams into Ousted as he is attempting to claim the ball. That's a foul 100% of the time. Then a few minutes later, he does exactly the same thing to a Caps' defender, just outside the 18 yd box. That being said, I agree with the extra minute of TAO. The Whitecaps were guilty of delaying the game several times during stoppage time.
  23. Depends on your definition of "need". We don't need him like we need oxygen, but we do need him like I'm going to need a beer after work today....
  24. I applaud the timing of this move..... ...1 week after playing the Bills.
  25. My wife has a book called Odd Thomas. I believe it's by Dean Koontz. Same thing?
