  1. Happy to be proved wrong. Great effort by the Ravens...on both sides of the ball. Hoping to see Ray Lewis retire a champion....
  2. Nice to see the Spurs with the late tie against United. As a fan of Dutch football, I have to say that RvP irritates me to no end....he scores in virtually every Premier League match, but when he dons the Orange jersey he disappears faster than a box of Twinkies at Chris Christie's house...
  3. I'm pulling for the Ravens, but I'll be very surprised if they win today. Baltimore has been riding the wave of emotion surrounding Ray Lewis' retirement, but I don't think it can carry them past the Pats. Flacco is not as bad as many people think, but he's nowhere close to Brady and barring some freak injury, I think New England wins without too much trouble. My opinion of the Pats at mid-season was based on what looked at the time at least, to be a rather porous defense. They seem to have that sorted out now, so I think they make to the big dance yet again. However, I like the Niners' chances against them. I think you might want to cheer for Atlanta...
  4. I imagine that I'm one of the few (if not only) who's pulling for both underdogs today....
  5. I was cheering for the Seahawks, but at the same time, I'm disappointed at the injury to RGIII. I want my team to win because they deserve it, not because the opponent is at less than 100%. However, I think all this talk about the game turning out differently had Shanahan inserted Cousins earlier, is a bit of wishful thinking on the part of Redskins fans (or Seahawk haters) I didn't see anything from Cousins that made me think he would have been able to handle Seattle's defense, even given more time to do so. I agree that The Redskins left Griffin in too long, but I disagree that they would have won by changing QBs earlier.
  6. Disagree. Division winners should still make the playoffs, but they shouldn't get home field advantage over a wild card team with a better record, IMHO.
  7. The only mask I could find that looks like that is one that Brian Hayward wore. I can't figure out if that says "Armadillo" at the bottom, and what it means if it does...
  8. I agree. IMO, the team with the better record should have home field advantage all the time.
  9. me too. BTW: I think it's garbage that the Skins get home field advantage.
  10. The Hobbit. I have to say that I was prepared to be disappointed, but I wasn't. At about the time where they ended the movie, I was thinking that this is a perfect place to end the movie, but there's no way I've been sitting here for three hours. I was wrong. 9/10 Madagascar 3. The wife's choice, but since I liked the first one (and thought the second was okay) I figured I'd give it a shot. It was better than I expected, but still not as good as #1. 7/10
  11. I'm wondering if my penchant for sneaking in ex-Canucks is giving me away....
  12. It's Mike Dunham. Looks like you and I are basically keeping this thread alive, V_C... Try this one:
  13. The interesting thing is, I've been hearing so much talk about the MVP this year, mostly centering around Brady, Peyton and Peterson, yet last night Megatron shatters a 20 year-old record, previously held by the greatest receiver of all time.... and nothing. Granted, he plays on a crap team, but he has a realistic shot at 2000 yards this season. I know I'll be pulling for him to do it when Da Bears visit Motown next week. BTW: My vote goes to AP....
  14. It's Brent. But it's not Brent... Sebastien Caron?
  15. Actually, I thought it was him right away, but I thought it was way too obvious. I guess I'm just that old.... BTW: Can't post pics. Someone else go ahead.
  16. I've heard good things, but I can never find it...
  17. As a Bills fan, I can't say I'm too disappointed. I like the Seahawks and the Niners now have a bit more incentive to beat the Pats... Also glad to see the Texans and Falcons bounce back.
  18. Can't post pics from the work computer, VC. Anyone else is welcome to post one.
  19. Funny thing is, even though I'm a Bills fan, I don't hate the Pats (even though I do call them the Patsies ) The teams I hate are the Phish and the Jets. I'm also not much of a fan of the NFC East, although I don't mind the 'Skins... I honestly can't see how anyone could hate Brady or Welker. Both carry themselves with class and play the game the way it should be played. (Hating Belichick, I can understand) I have to believe that most of the hate for the Patriots is based on jealousy. BTW: I only know one person who is an actual Patriot fan. I can remember him cheering for them back when Bledsoe was starting. In fact, I remember being in a bar watching Super Bowl XXXIX and everyone except for him and maybe one or two others were cheering for the Eagles...
