  1. Couldn't find anything to confirm, but I think so.
  2. Saw on TSN this morning that the Riders are going to rest Durant this weekend. (likely due to the helmet to helmet hit he took from Brandon Isaac of the Argos) Drew Willy gets the start for the Green guys. If Vancouver fans can't come up with creative signs using that name, then I don't know what to say...
  3. I'm really looking forward to the Jepson-Lightfoot duet: "Call Me The Edmund Fitzgerald"....
  4. Looks like they're shooting for the over 60 - under 16 demographic....
  5. Emannuel Arceneaux released from Redskins practice roster and Kierrie Johnson released by the Leos... ...are the two possibly related?
  6. Great seeing the Bills with an unexpected win against the Cards... ...but I still have to shake my head at their efforts to give the game away in the 4th. A deep ball out of the wildcat when you're protecting a lead late in the game? 3 and out on the next possession with three straight running plays into the teeth of the 'Zona defense? I'll take the win, but it was uglier than a Mike Ricci / Rita McNeil lovechild....
  7. You have to go. The atmosphere at a College football game is amazing. Catching the Sooners in Norman is one of the items on my bucket list. (Preferably with the Longhorns visiting)
  8. Really looking forward to the Packers-Texans this weekend. Also, as someone who hates the Jets, the visit from Luck and the Colts is intriguing as well.
  9. I hear you. Even though I live closer as the crow flies, I'm even farther away by road. I wouldn't be able to afford to go to Canuck games, but I'd be at as many 'Caps and Lions games as I could....
  10. The Sounders put the boots to Portland last night. Hopefully, that's the start of a two-game trend for the Timbers. BTW: 66,000+ at CLF last night...
  11. That is frickin hilarious....
  12. I read it it the way bananas meant it, but you're right. The second comma should have been a period. Class dismissed!
  13. Element of surprise, plus the bulk of the game remaining to make up for it if it doesn't work. Fact is, it totally caught the Stamps off guard. If the ball had gone the required 10 yards, it was BC ball.
  14. So, it must have been a straight dislocation, rather than a break? Even so, he's pretty tough to come back so soon after that...
  15. Promising result, but let's be honest, it was Chivas. With Dallas having two matches left with these guys, it seems inevitable that the Caps are going to need at least one more result. Hopefully, that's Portland in a couple of weeks. Good news is that the long break should give these hammies some time to heal up....
  16. According to what I read, Gerrard used the incident as inspiration to become a professional footballer.....for Liverpool. His cousin was 10 when he died. SG couldn't have been much older...
  17. I was just reading up on Hillsborough and I was wondering, is it common knowledge in football circles that the youngest of the victims was Steven Gerrard's cousin?
  18. So, I was driving back from a gig and didn't get to watch any of the early games.... ...I check the ticker and see that my Bills threw up 28 points on the Patsies! ...then I check the other side of the ledger... ...frack!
  19. I almost mentioned "the man in the chair", but I wasn't sure if anyone would catch the reference.
  20. Just going to comment on the video reviews: Although they all went against the Leos, I think they got all of them right. Sometimes, that's just the way she goes...
  21. As a fan of neither team, (but not a hater of either) I thought the kick was good. I will say that Belichick deserves to have the book thrown at him for grabbing the ref after the game. Yes, they were not very good, but no-one has the right to mistreat them like that.
  22. Well, my Bills are 2-1 even though they only had to beat the Brownies this week. Really sucks to lose Spiller though, especially with the Pats up next... ...and WTF New Orleans?
  23. I disagree. If you substitute the word "incompetent" for "biased", then we'd be on the same page...
