To clarify, "draw attention away" is the wrong phrasing. I mean that it's possible that gbassi assumed that people would assume he wouldn't call out a teammate in that spot. Apples is also high on my radar. He could have easily done the lackey thing to try to get into the good books of the TP.

Vote Kakanucks I'm not 100% sold on this, but I think gbassi might have been trying to draw attention away from what he saw as the obvious next lynch. That last post by him is kind of a strange move, though...

I've only heard of Persofone from those bands. I'll have to check the others out. For prog death somewhat in the same vein as Opeth, I'd recommend Edge of Sanity: and Orphaned Land (which has a heavy Middle Eastern folk sound mixed in):

Very confusing album. Some songs like this one are very good, others are completely bland, and others are failed experiments. I expect better from DH. In Mourning is a fantastic band. So talented
