  1. Indeed. Im not against the move at all. Had there been no lock out, and injuries..it may have been a different outcome for the Canucks and most NHL teams. Im cautiously excited. But will certainly not expect anything amazing to happen with a coaching change next season.
  2. Class, all the way. Too bad most fans here lack it.
  3. Put headphones on during the presser. Botch did ask some tough questions, and was dismissed by MG. He probably would have been more forthcoming had the trifecta of POS Province Canuck journos had actually been writing op-ed pieces with transparency instead of a lame attempts for sensationalism.
  4. Wow MG, at least be accountable for not supplying the team with center depth. Ownership made this call. Absolutely. Love that Gillis aint giving Botch anything. *edit* Gillis actually listed himself as being at fault.
  5. A pic of them with the Sedins would keep my mind blown.
  6. Not even going to walk you through that one duders.
  7. Agreed. But boy oh boy...the endless comedy that would ensue here if that actually played out and the team fizzles.
  8. Agreed. Not even remotely sold on them. Especially Boucher.
  9. Holy crap. No thank you. Guess you havent noticed the repeated comments by Linden that he has zero desire to be near Hockey, despite you quip in yr siggy.
  10. The best coach the Canucks ever had. Hockey business trumps sentimentality. The AV detractors could very well be in for a rude awakening. Thankfully there is enough coachable talent for the new coach to work with. Agree with Shorty's opinion after the playoff elimination; Gillis should acquiesce to the public by hiring a marquee name. If Ruff is hired, its a big clue that Gillis' leash got a bit shorter. Gillis should be embarrassed that he did not supply the team with the right players. And by that, i mean a smart move to back up Malhotra before their agreed upon deadline to be assessed. Im of the opinion that lack of an added deadly centerman buried/imbalanced the whole team and ultimately cost AV/Bones/Brown their jobs.
  11. It is sheer lunacy, that i will be pulling for the Maple Leafs during the playoffs. Please dispatch the Bruins. Thanks.

  12. Yep. I asked him if he could ID or explain how the D are supposed to behave, and he sloughed it off as stating that he has posted about the systems many times before. Which is BS, otherwise id see some of the experienced coaches on CDC really take him to task (they do anyways.). He still attributes any bad play by defensemen as AVs deficiency, but more informed users know it is Bones systems that are implemented. And G, is just frigging great. One of the few voices of reason on CDC. The CDC player doghouse is really a shanty town of whiners that lie to each other about their own poor player assessment. I will forever be amazed how folks cannot infer what a players underlying problem might be, other than "sucking" and further blabbering about how inept MG is. On my good days i get the comedy. On my bad days here, i am feelin a little McNulty:
  13. Just re read this entire thread. It is firm and clear that Joe_Shmo never knows what he is talking about on any given topic on the Canucks.
  14. CHIKLETS!!! Good to see you trolling around here still. :P

  15. Awwww duders, just got out of a year long Hank Williams phase, both him and his grandson Hank III. Such excellent music.
  16. Another +1 for you. It didnt occur to these people that Linden is so far removed from the game, that he just doesnt care for a job like that, or the possible fact that he might just flat out suck at it.
