  1. Kevin Klutch Klein!!!! 7 point night that really sets me at ease about winning the series. Whew. On the other side Justin Fontaine is a scratch along with John Mitchell. Jan Hejda is on the ice for Washington and is their last best hope, pointless with 2 periods to go. Back in my room, Jake Muzzin and Joe Thornton are halfway through the first....and I am all... waiting for another 90 minutes to slink by and I can officially declare we made it! WHEW!!!!
  2. I made bold the only part of that is not fiction.
  3. Ottawa V Boston is down to the wire, with 2 points difference and Several skaters on the ice for both teams. GML Analysts are giving the edge to the Senators, trailing in the series but with a marked man advantage in tonights action. Buffalo trails the Devils by 25 points and That series is not over either with the always in top form Sabres icing 5 of their best six tonight to try to make up those points against 3 Devils. Washington is 16 back of the Rangers and the New York GM is confident his team can hold the line tonight with playoff team leaders Jake Muzzin and Joe Thornton on the ice. Out West, the major battles have been fought and all four campaigns are winding down. All but the Wild V Vancouver series, which is about 35 points apart, however it would be a substantial uphill climb for Vancouver. Stranger things have happened! 310-vs-189 128-vs-207 226-vs-191 121-vs-171 431-vs-280 264-vs-266 277-vs-252 156-vs-140
  4. to be honest, I am amazed I made it into this round, let alone possibly next round. My team finished 24th two years in a row, happy to finish inside the playoffs this year.
  5. That is a heck of a handicap, but you have lots time to practice, soon you will be much closer to par.
  6. Troubles a'Bruin in Ottawa, while in Phoenix, the student has become the master! (well done ThatMike, I wouldn't have guessed that you would upset Squeak! and yes, Chicago was served Deep Dish, I had forgotten they were higher in league standings than the jets, but were lower by division rules for Wildcard qualifications. 282-vs-186 128-vs-195 222-vs-191 119-vs-167 431-vs-280 264-vs-266 277-vs-241 154-vs-140
  7. As it appears likely I may move on, I would almost rather face you Lethunder, only NO. No i wouldn't. Heck no, i have seen the history books and mamma didn't raise no fools.
  8. FYI, I think my worst managed asset thread of the year was Devante Smith-Pelly and Philip Larsen, whom were acquired for the 51st overall pick last year (great deal i think). sigh. I went on to trade DSP for Jack SKille and Jimmy Hayes, one was lost to waivers and the other was part of a good deal for us that brought in Michalek, Emelin, D'Amigo and a 1st round pick. I then lost Philip Larsen to waivers as well. So my 51st overall pick ended up in the summation being just a small part of a deal to bring in Michalek, Emeiln D'Amigo and LA's 1st. I also parted with Sbisa and Mattias in that deal. I would think I won in spades in this asset thread if I still had Philip Larsen. Live and learn.
  9. I like Bob's Burgers, more to the point Kristen Schaal's character, which totally makes the show. "If your listening to this, it is my last will and testament DON"T TOUCH MY STUFF, I am leaving it all to my ghost." It is cheeky humour in a cartoon, but for me much funnier and on point than the SImpsons or American Dad or even Family Guy. I just last night reviewed my recording options and I have 55 shows programmed to record...damnit.....although that is half me and half my wife...so I am not TOTALLY a tube head....At the top for me is Cosmos, Daily Show, Colbert Report Big Bang and Community, we overlap on Game of Thrones, Girls, Walking Dead, a handful of others and then she gets into vampires and werewolves and fairies of all variety and ilk on way too many shows. The drop dead must see, I think, is Game of Thrones..but I grew up reading the books and so it is more of a great tribute show than a 'new story'. Like Lord of the Rings was for Tolkien Fans Oh, and I left VIkings off the list but I LOVED the 3 episodes I saw..we decided at the time however to just watch the series on a random rainy saturday sometime and then never got back to do that yet...we still want to though! my buddy doesn't watch any TV in any set pattern at all...he will just marathon good series once they are determined by the masses to be good series, hahahaha...he says that way he isn't wasting time on crap.
  10. Rangers get to the Point!~Series draws to a one point lead with just a handful of games to go! Hawks Eye Upset!~Wildcard Chicago looks to move past trailing Jets. Devil's in the Details~NJ's 50 point lead is a devil on the back of the Bruins. Luck'O'The'Irish~Boston bounces back against wilting Sens. 231-vs-165 120-vs-187 217-vs-173 109-vs-158 400-vs-272 245-vs-226 256-vs-206 141-vs-140
  11. the spoiler actually contains game of thrones spoilers: so fair warning. But first: the Stars are out and Kari Lehtonen is done gaining points for da.moose...too late perhaps? Could be...but at least now I have a chance!!
  12. it appears washington and i are tied on the night, with the big goalie question going into overtime...will the ducks prevail? will the Caps go ahead in the series as the real life Stars live to fight another day? I won't know for an hour, as my wife has called a Game Of Thrones time out! ARRRRRGH
  13. ^hahahaa Four points from Kevin Klein while Chris Porter gets blanked! Early morning help, but tonight my two guys, Sceviour and Winnik face a fearsome foursome from Washington in Lehtonen/Gonchar and Cogliano/Silfverberg. If my guys can hold up to the strength of two men, and the game goes to the Ducks, I just might escape this round!
  14. WHy are the real life rangers to tiny? No cup for you, NHL Rangers, come back after you hit puberty. seriously, 11 roster players 6'0" or shorter...and some of those supposedly 6 footers are measured with their skates on! back after brunch..i am playing like betty white out there.
  15. Awesome 'article' Greens, and good to know you and TM rock out the draft in our league...knowing this will make this coming one even more fun!
  16. heh, So i need the Ducks to finish this series today, and we all want, Florida notwithstanding, for St Louis to somehow knock out the Blackhawks, and I have to go Rangers tonight..so yeah, go Ducks, Blues, Rangers! lol
  17. Wild'n Out~ The State of Hockey prepares to face depleted Canucks. Capitals backstop can Kari the load!~Lehtonen could put Washington on top tonight. Florida is past the eye of the Storm, Hurricanes pick up speed late in series. 217-vs-160 114-vs-165 180-vs-150 96-vs-140 365-vs-249 237-vs-203 233-vs-201 137-vs-129
  18. ^ there is a ripple in the matrix
  19. Now that is exciting! I would love to work with the Royals somehow in Victoria.
  20. Ohhhh maybe he is talking about his high draft spot and figuring out who is gonna be the next Jet Setter.
  21. A little early to be uptalking your kids ability heading into the entry draft isn't it Curt?
  22. Sabres Rattle New Jersey~as lead shrinks to 13 points. To the Kings go the spOILs~ insurmountable lead?. Sharknado ravages Phoenix. 213-vs-134 104-vs-158 167-vs-135 92-vs-127 340-vs-200 227-vs-180 181-vs-168 130-vs-122
