  1. ^ you can stop this highlight after the first 11 seconds fellow GM's. Sportsdesk: stop the game highlights at the same place. That is all.
  2. While we do not want to be a distraction during the playoffs, some important signings are coming up, and this one is important indeed. Knowing we have a guy like Alexei on the roster for the next four years will take some of the sting out of expected retirements over the next couple years. We managed to acquire Alexei Emelin in late december and are very happy to announce this deal. We have seen already just what he brings to the back end, and are looking forward to an extended viewing as these playoffs progress.
  3. Your sitting in a good position, seeing as your playing the best in the west from the regular season! A few series could end early, changing the landscape for the last half of this round dramatically!
  4. News out of the Rangers front office is that a high profile player has been renewed...details will follow official release!
  5. 113-vs-80 28-vs-58 58-vs-53 53-vs-41 102-vs-98 105-vs-91 52-vs-52 65-vs-42 Some really interesting matchups and some good story lines!
  6. Whew, Caps with 7 points on a night where I have no way to respond. Jan Hejda still on the ice though, could get worse!
  7. dude, you were so close! Last year my rangers were 7th from the bottom and this year we made it in...you missed by a sliver...next year you could the president's trophy!
  8. well now you made me LOL.....I am not going to worry about your division unless and until I have to. Bigger fish to fry in Washington, tonight I don't have a single player on the ice against up to 6 of the Capitals players...luckily I am enjoying a 30+ point lead at the moment, which should hold up for tonight at least. p.s.
  9. Updated numbers fresh this morning, Saturday the 19th...and tonight Washington Strikes Back...with 3 skaters on the ice to New York's none. Hopefully my Blueshirts weather the storm tonight. 49-vs-53 19-vs-47 45-vs-47 44-vs-28 62-vs-53 91-vs-49 50-vs-38 65-vs-33
  10. 45-vs-51 19-vs-32 32-vs-23 39-vs-26 62-vs-46 29-vs-45 44-vs-30 42-vs-15
  11. Yeah, this game has caused me to watch a much broader array of hockey, and teams I normally wouldn't have given a minute on the highlight reels of my time I now watch really closely. You have to like a winning system, or at least respect it. Makes me laugh a lot that Edmonton did the old and often suggested "tank to get better" strategy and really failed at it. Loving it. 4 years from now will they be a power house and I will have to eat my words? Hope so, for hockey's sake!
  12. 22-vs-6 5-vs-13 14-vs-14 13-vs-12 14-vs-13 13-vs-20 23-vs-16 28-vs-8
  13. Colton Sceviour!!!! Assist and a Goal on both of Dallas' markers tonight, so far.
  14. So wow! The winner of Florida/Carolina plays the winner of Ottawa/Boston and The winner of New Jersey/Buffalo plays the winner of New York R/Washington out west: The winner of L.A/Edmonton plays the winner of Phoenix/San Jose and the winner of Minnesota/Vancouver plays the winner of Winnipeg/Chicago I am just figuring out these new playoff rules as we go here, but it is interesting.
  15. Washington Generals: On the Ice Tonight for the Caps is Goaltender Kari Lehtonen along with six skaters. Dmen Sergei Gonchar, Simon Despres, and Tim Erixon will play with forwards Richard Panik, Andrew Cogliano and Jakob Silfverberg. Harlem Globetrotters: Rangers Blueshirts are represented by Dmen Sami Salo and Alexei Emelin who join forwards Thomas Vanek, Ryan Malone, Colton Sceviour, Rene Bourque, Travis Moen, and Daniel Winnick. "We want to get out there early with a jump and overwhelm them with our precision passing, shot accuracy and speed. We know it could be uphill with their goalie on the ice, but we have some surprises in store, including the old 'pregnant player' routine with the ball under the jersey..the bucket of confetti and the ref whistle with streamers in it".
  16. Feeling retarded, can anyone log into the hockey pool? I can not. EDIT: I am in..was retarded for a moment, tried logging in twice from the same machine. when i logged out of the first one, i was able to log into the new one.
  17. Interesting, at least it didn't go to Edmonton IRL.
  18. Okay, the draft lotto is tonight on TSN at i think 5 pacific..i will still be at work, but good luck to all, I actually hope a low % team will win it..like 11th through 14th...no offense to anyone, but I like an underdog! (not you washington!) Cheers and see you in the playoffs, those of you not involved in the lotto.
  19. Okay so I think this is correct then...with 14 forwards i have to leave Andrew Johnston as a callup healthy scratch, right? since he would be the 15th forward The New York Rangers Playoff Lineup!!! Thomas Vanek, Joe Thornton, Jarome Iginla Ryan Malone, Colton Sceviour, Rene Bourque Travis Moen, Daniel Winnik, Michael Sgarbossa Carson MacMillan, Cody Bass, Craig Cunningham Marek Hrivik, Maxim Shalunov Andrej Meszaros, Sami Salo Alexei Emelin, Jake Muzzin Kevin Klein, Marcus Lauridsen Sheldon Souray Callup F Andrew Johnston (PHI)
  20. Okay, apparently I needed to slot my callups into the lineup, so here is the updated version, and I will give it one final good long look tonight to make sure I did not miss anyone which I am totally paranoid of doing...hopefully I have time left on the clock to realize any mistakes tonight? The New York Rangers Playoff Lineup!!! Thomas Vanek, Joe Thornton, Jarome Iginla Ryan Malone, Colton Sceviour, Rene Bourque Travis Moen, Daniel Winnik, Michael Sgarbossa Carson MacMillan, Cody Bass, Craig Cunningham Marek Hrivik, Maxim Shalunov Andrej Meszaros, Sami Salo Alexei Emelin, Jake Muzzin Kevin Klein, Marcus Lauridsen Sheldon Souray Callup F Andrew Johnston (PHI)
  21. I think in playoffs there should be no OTL points for a goalie, but I also think that we should make the change for next year, unless we are 100% in agreement on it. I have no goalies in the post season, so I wanted to be the sober second thought on it. I am okay with OTL's this playoffs and next regular season, but would like that changed for all future playoffs.
  22. Okay guys, thanks for a wonderful season, I had fun! Now onto the business of defeating da.moose' Washington Capitals....and off to work I go...
  23. Thank you Bombastic! Fixed in all three incorrect columns.
  24. assuming I am correct of course...C2X has final authority on this, I am just whipping up what I think is right: The First Round Matchups! -vs- -vs- -vs- -vs- -vs- -vs- -vs- -vs-
