  1. Oh yeah, haha...i will be at the Nucks and Ducks game tomorrow, somewhere up high in the 310/311 sections...our tickets for two seats straddle the section line, but i can not remember the ticket seat numbers... If anyone knows something about the Rogers Arena that pertains to that section, please let me know? Like is the sportscast booth near there...always seems that someone in the background is standing up on purpose during the intermission reports.. Also, does anyone have a Millionaires jersey style hoodie with the shoelace up front to tie it up? I think I will go for one of those instead of a jersey..only because Sami Salo was the last guy i wanted to have on a nucks jersey and I can't think of one now that would be as epic for me personally. Maybe Kassian..but do you think the front end will give him the years needed to become as epic as he will be? I am not sure, specially if change is afoot.
  2. Thanks bro, playoffs are a brewing...hope for our sake you booked time off, lol.
  3. haha, i see you got that text as well.
  4. Hey there, I wouldn't mind subbing in for any of your GM's that don't play the mock draft. I am curious to know where other fantasy players rate the first 45 guys..and who they rate to be the first 45, so if you need a warm semi-knowledge like Fantasy GM to fill in a spot, tell me what team and I will do my best. edit: as long as the draft is not tomorrow, haha, i am going to be at the 'Nucks/Ducks game.
  5. Yup, it is a long shot but I think it is more strange that in theory Colorado could gain 340 points and literally leapfrog the wildcards and take that 3rd spot from Chicago...again not likely but if they did, they wouldn't take a WC spot, they would either sieze the 3rd central or else not make the playoffs.
  6. So if we mirror this exactly, we could be looking at the following if the season ended at noon today:Eastern: Florida Panthers VS Carolina Hurricanes New Jersey Devils VS Buffalo Sabres Ottawa Senators VS Boston Bruins New York Rangers VS Washington Capitals Western: Los Angeles Kings VS Edmonton Oilers Minnesota Wild VS Vancouver Canucks San Jose Sharks vs Phoenix Coyotes Winnipeg Jets VS Chicago Blackhawks There is of course still some jockeying to be done with around 8 or 9 games left in the season, and several close races still to be determined. Two things that stuck out for me is that Squeak will face ThatMike in the first round, which made me grin, and Yes TheMinister, the Isles still have a chance! Also Chicago is not yet safe, even though Colorado sits two spots back from a wildcard berth...it aint over till its over!

  8. It is back: the Three Stars of the Month! here in new york we passed on the three stars for February, with the Olympic Break it seemed a bit of a small sample of games to worry about, but now its back, with a Vengence! As is our custom, the short list precedes the actual announcement by a few days, and what a short list we have this time around. Thus far on the month we have nine players north of 50 points for March, and that seems like a great place to make the cut for the Three Stars of March short list. Mike Smith: 90 points (would likely have cracked a hundred if he didn't sit out the last two games injured) Jarome Iginla: 82 points (folks may have thought i was a bit nuts to pay so much for the aging star, but 351 points later, I am glad we got him) Eddie Lack: 75 points (I don't think anyone saw Eddie taking the mantle in Vancouver so fast, wooooh!) Joe Thornton: 71 points (no explanation is necessary, he is Big Joe) Andrej Sekera: 68 points (With Souray on LTIR all season long, Andrej has siezed the moment to earn his top pairing position) Thomas Vanek and Mikael Backlund: 62 points (yes you read that right. Backlund and Vanek sitting equal in points for the month. Vanek has finally adjusted to his new digs and Mikael may just have found his NHL stride, and just in time!) Milan Michalek: 53 points (a great pickup shortly after the winter roster freeze, Milan has had a good month) Sami Salo: 50 points (all that AND he won the shootout last night with a backhander as the 13th Tampa Bay shooter..what a ride!!!!) Tune in mid week next week to see the Three Stars of March!
  9. St Louis leads Minny 2-0, this is very important to our chances if Phoenix plays and wins well this next week.
  10. RECALL: The New York Rangers recall Connor Murphy!!!! FINALLY...haha...Connor will slot in as our 7th Dman, restoring the roster to a full 23, and not a moment too soon.
  11. Hahaha, no no no...i wasn't making any Canucks judgements..i was just saying it would be cool to have a bottle that won't be opened until the canucks win. i picked a number out of my butt...lol
  12. Happy B-day T.R. !! I hope you get to drink that bottle in the next year or three...but even if you don't, it will make a fantastic piece to put away for the day, maybe in 17 years time when you can indeed enjoy the sweet Canucks victory that will inevitably happen. EDIT: I have been a fan since the 80's...so if i put away a 16 year old scotch back then, it would be 48 year old scotch now...jus sayin...haha
  13. Indeed, you are a few points ahead of Pittsburgh this morning, but only one player on the ice tonight...it is going down to the wire!!!!
  14. The Bad news Bears, err Rangers Report: Matt Stajan missed a few weeks after the extremely sad loss of his newborn child early this month. We declined to comment because, frankly, there is nothing that can be said about such a tragedy. Last night Mike Smith left the game with an injury to his right knee, we hope that he can make it back before the end of the season, and Jesse Joensuu will spend the remainder of the season on LTIR along with Sheldon SOuray who will not play at all this year, and could be facing the end of his career following two surgery's last summer and this January. The upside is that as a team, we continue to put daylight between us and the chasing Capitals and Penguins, although it will be tough to keep that up with the loss of Smith, we expect an update on his condition this afternoon.

  16. For Greensman...we can play you off while you ship back to Boston...Thanks again for all you have done to enrich the best Fantasy Hockey league in North America. edit: Nay, THE WORLD!
  17. EEP! I wouldn't do that anyhow, just joking around. I am however very happy to see my Rangers topped the points this week with 325. Only two other teams topped 300: Vancouver and L.A. ...and they both play out west, whew!
  18. The Royals won game one of round one last night, game two goes at 5 tonight in Victoria, no snow here haha.
  19. And there we have it! At least 36 points from my three Flames tonight, Hudler, Stajan and Backlund, and Kari Ramo gets a win in his return for you Bombastic. Grats.
  20. Very exciting in just two more seasons when he is exposed to an offer sheet early! (Mwuahahahahahahahahaheeehehehhehecackle*) Or not, you know..just sayin.
  21. Bomber, Karri Ramo's making his first start since February tonight for Calgary. Don't mess with the Finnish netminders! He was 26 and 9 in Omsk of the KHL...wow. I just found that out and it blew my mind. As Calgary gets a bit better he should do well. Backlund is working on his 19th goal of the year, and really only sparked in the last 4 months, so it is looking up in cowtown.
  22. ^ I had to look, haha..forgot your name change! Thank you Greensman, great work, and well done, its good to relax too, so don't feel bad about stepping down, enjoy the game from a new angle!
  23. The funny thing for me is that the 'fans' are saying how crappy the team is, and yet here they sit two and a half games back of the final wildcard spot. Ooooooo so cruddy. They may not make it, but folding the tent and packin it in is ridiculous. Can't wait to see the ducks game next saturday, first live game in decades!
