  1. The CDCGML Rangers will be hosting a free event tomorrow morning. A Post-Olympic team scrimmage with free, but limited seating to any fans with an old ticket stub. Come on down and watch the boys re-acquaint themselves and welcome aboard a new Right Winger, as of yet unannounced, but he IS in the city and is raring to go. While your at Madison Square Garden, please enjoy our many food and beverage vendors and note that the Team Store will be open a full 8.5 hours, before during and after the scrimmage. Our Mystery Players jersey's will be on sale along with the rest, in both Home and Away colours.
  2. side note: can you believe that russian figure skater will still be a teenager at the next olympics? WOW...15 and medal quality performances. I am in awe, and I usually dislike figure skating. I am more of a russian gymnast guy....lol
  3. whoa! makes my deal look puny by comparison. Still, I am glad to have made it. Could be all the detail that helps me move to the post season.
  4. The Olympic Hockey, Men's and Women's was great! Superb even. I LOVED seeing Canada's, Sweden's and the Finnish Flags together rising to the rafters. Not to be all mushy, but it was an emotional moment. Hockey is just an amazing team sport. Can't get enough. These olympics are inspiring too: my great nephew's got out on the ice and did some skating at very young ages..mostly due to the exposure of the Games...the toddler managed to stand upright, while his older brother made some good strides around the rink, and their momma and poppa were proud of them, so was their great uncle. AWESOME SAUCE. And now, GAME ON! (I am lookin at you, Jersey.)
  5. By My Math I have : Canada GOLD Great Britain SILVER Australia BRONZE Congrats guys and thanks for a fun tournament. What a way to end it too, Canada with a 3-0 win. My favorite medal ceremony of all time: Canada, Sweden, Finland: these three flags rising up together to the rafters. AWESOME> Take care all, the CDCGML Rangers are calling and they say they want me back on the first available charter. We have a playoff push to orchestrate. See you in the sports pages.
  6. On the eve of the Gold Medal Olympic Hockey matchup, the Rangers have announced a deal in principle which will bring an element of strength to the third line. "At this time, all I can confirm is that we are adding to the team and not subtracting from it. We are looking forward to bolstering the Third line, and this deal keeps our room intact, and our team intact. Now, how about Sami Salo, what olympic poise out there, Congrats to all our Olympians and we are looking forward to seeing some of our faces on the podium tomorrow. Olympians returning after the break that are proud to welcome back include Thomas Vanek, Andrej Meszaros, Andrej Sekera, Sami Salo, Milan Michalek, and of course all the best in gaining a GOLD to you and your team, Mike Smith,
  7. With a one point gap in our Bronze Medal battle...team Australia has the upper hand, but team Finland has Sisu. We can and must persevere.
  8. LOL...they do in fact. I played a mean defense with my height and frame being large but it didn't translate well to the net...i really suck at playing goal.
  9. CAN 57 GB 49 AUS 38 FIN 34 USA 28 It is all over the but the anthem at the Podium for gold, but bronze is still being contested. Finland is almost there with a medal still on the line as the Finnish Lions play Sweden's Tre Kronor tomorrow! If Finland wins, I am just one point out of a medal....O.O
  10. Two great days for hockey this week: Finland beats the Russians and Canada Beats the USA. Next up what will be an amazing game between Sweden and Canada on Sunday I think?
  11. I forget if I mentioned my wife is a citizen of Great Britain...haha..and Canada, so we get the 'every room is a different colour' but also we are polite and grateful. ; )
  12. Allrighty, back to work I go, poor timing, but I don't have it in me to fake being ill. three days sick is actually terribly boring. We have the US/CAN semifinal to go at 9am pacific time, and then Short Track Speed Skating for Great Britain's medal hopes to catch team Canada....Finland still hopes to pull out a clutch BRONZE both in mens hockey, and here in the CDCGML SOCHI games...watch out Oz, I am coming for you! Standings after Curling, before the mens hockey game: CAN 57 GB 49 AUS 38 FIN 34 USA 28
  13. OH NOES, I Jinxed her...just as i typed that she had a terrible time on the standing range, the final shoot of the contest... Still a valiant effort from our women on the ski and shoot! Can't wait to see Pyongyang's tournament in 4 years!
  14. Wolfe, Montcalme, we are Bi-curious these days. O.O I mean Bilingual/dual history cultural melting potish. I am so extremely excited to see Canada challenging for a medal in the womens 4x6 Biathlon right now...final leg and our gal is hot to trot! a dozen seconds out of third place...3k to go!!!!
  15. I am having a tough time finding a 3rd line winger. dang.
  16. I don't know the Santa Clause Song but i know "You Can't say C__t in Canada"
  17. My nephew sent me that which he got from his buddy who emigrated to Australia a few years back.
  18. not up to me, but i wouldn't object if the replacement is from the same nationality as the injured player, but again it isn't my call to make.
  19. "I believe mine is faster Mr Allan Bond, cuz mines a Red One".
  20. WHen your selling: it is a Rustic Get Away...not a place with no tv. At least it is not Living Next Door To Allan. (hope you have heard of this Australian comedic spoof song)
  21. Well, your closing in on Gold or SIlver overall, not too shabby.
  22. Allrighty, women's game coming up at 9am between Canada and the USA. The following is our points totals with team CAN inflated by the guaranteed five points in each of Womens Hockey and Mens Curling, since they can finish no lower than SILVER in each. So counting in their minimum two extra silver finishes: GB: 48 CAN: 47 AUS: 35 FIN: 31 USA: 27 Keeping in mind GB has Womens SHort Track left to go and CAN could scoop five more points from each of two possible golds...it is a neck and neck race. Everyone has one Canadian and one American woman left playing today except me, with just Rebecca Johnston, all I can hope for is a Hat Trick!! haha. Team Finland would love a come from behind Silver Medal here at the CDCGML Olympic Games.
  23. Azzy, i don't know why i thought your speed skating event over...i think i was looking at the other one..the none short track one. Grats on Bronze though in the Curling!
