Predict The Score Contest: VAN @ OTT March 15 2021

6-2 canucks Gaudet gwg Van scores first. -
It Ebbs, it flows. Rangers are loving the ride. We have moved out two rather prominent members of the room, however to reassure our fans, I can confirm shipped out 13 Million in salary, which thus far has bought us only 7 actual Goals. I am an Optimist, however we know this is not the year our window opens for playoff contention, and so with a heavy mind to next year, while still attempting to climb the standings, this strategic shift had to occur. The league is still looking over the i dots and t crosses, and one GM signed with an X, which is slowing down the situation, rest assured, we will finnish strong! (*that is the only hint I am going to offer) Meanwhile, 18 days since the change in philosophy and we are looking all right. Lost a little ground on points but certainly jumped up the que in the standings!!! Thanks to all our trade partners for taking part.

It is gonna be a greasy April, much that goal last game, haha.... pretty much a game every 2nd day all month long with just TWO 2-day breaks between games in the whole month. What I am getting at is we will need to see Holtby a few times over that stretch and likely up to a handul or so. Therefore, I would say do the ol' switcheroo and give Holtby the FRIDAY start against Montreal after these Ottawa Games and give Dems the Saturday Prime time game. Question is, should we also give Holtby one of the Sens games? Demko 15th and 20th, 22nd and 24th? Holtby 17th, 19th and 31st? or is that too many? IMO we have demko getting hot and we should play him more, but Holtby is not a bag of pucks, the guy has an incredible body of work behind him and a meaty salary. I would split the rest of this month 4-3 so Holtby will be ready and primed for APril. We need to really put in the work for April and slide 4 or 5 wins in somwhere. GOnna need Fresh Tendies for all 14 games in those 30 days. (technically 14 games in 27 days)

and I want to. Paint it. Black.

You are just making me want to buy it today. Have put it off until after we move houses, maybe it will be the 21-22 version i end up with. Still not sure if PS4/5 will allow play against say Xbox users?

-
yeah, I apologize guys, was just offhandedly trying to help but I really need to not do that. It bogs me down in stupid crud for post after post after post and i don't work here. ; ) have fun make your moves c2x knows his rules, haha. In my defense I am playing without the following cards in my deck: and some days:
-
I need to not try to help. haha. That lesson took me 9 years. Ignore me, carry on. An official can disappoint you so i don't have to.
-
if you are referring to this it was posted AND changed after the noon cutoff. yours was either side of the cutoff. does that help? hehe, actually your right!
-
I dunno, i didnt' see that one, and I am just a player who has been here almost a decade...like i say, was just trying to give you aheads up, not 100% sure of the rule, but from experieince. Take care.
-
I don't think we can take back moves outside the 1 minute grace period to correct typos hehe, but specially considering you posted before the cutoff and took it back after the cutoff. good luck though, I am honestly not sure what the exact rule is, just off the top of my head.

Thank you Commish, and thank you To MasterMind, who like beer, is the solution AND the cause of my problem haha. Sissons will take up the vacant position, and we wish Matt Calvert all the best with his future in Winterpeg. -
I voted for this year too, but because I hate chaos: The Rangers have made tens of millions of dollars of roster changes since the change this year was announced in thread. voting to stick with that announcement, despite my original concern that the change should not affect the coming draft. Now changing to next year affects the moves I have made since the change was posted for this year. LOL: fun shouldn't be this complicated. I now have no opinion worth talking about on the subject, its in my vote. How about them Rangers folks?
-
Just saw this thread for the first time and my initial thought was as mentioned, the tendies, unless they are really overweighted could have held off for around or two to get more point producing skaters, but on the whole nicely done. My very first thought after the Tendies early thing was "i think the D is undervalued or picked by soundbite from the games on TV". Scrolling down, yeah your D underperformed: well done all in all, but next season pick the best D available for scoring system your league uses in place of Tendie One. Hint: it wasn't Krug.
-
A few years in a row this was the Rangers plan..but it led to this... so we had to change tactics. ((edit: had a peak at the "points this month" sort option in pickup and we are the 2nd best team not currently in the top dozen of league standings, for the month of March so far, at 13th most points in March))

Come for the panicky over-reacting, stay for the fire the equipment manager (or employee of the week) pronouncements. But I digress: I am really starving for some Olli Joulevi in the lineup! More SISU please!

MSG NEWS prospect edition The stable of unsigned prospects in the Rangers organization have quietly gotten back to the business of hockey in their home rinks around the world. Let's check in and see where they are at with covid interruptions to the development of all hockey prospects globally, some will have a leg up on the others, simply based on the region in which they reside. At a glance, we are looking bright. 74th oa 2019 -C Alexei Protas - (WSH 91st oa nhl) In the KHL, man bites covid. Not surprisingly therefore Alexei has managed to put in a pretty complete season playing in the best league in Russia/Eastern Europe. He managed 10 goals and 8 assists and was even on the plus minus in 58 games before tuning up for the playoffs. There, our young star shone brightly potting 4 points in 5 KHL playoff games before his Dinamo Minsk club took him to 2 games in the Belarus Cup! he was plus 1 in those two games with no points. The experience for the young Belarussian is priceless and will only add to his hockey maturity as he transitions to North America. All this just the very next year after putting up 80 points in 58 games for the Prince Albert Raiders of the WHL. Defensively reliable and not a natural penalty minute machine, Alexie is shaping up to be a force in the Hockey World for years to come. Protas may join the WHL Raiders now that they are operational, and so his development story is still being written! 84th oa 2019 -D Daniil Misyul - (NJD 70th oa nhl) Played in all three tiers of Russian Men's leagues this past season. 2 points in 3 games in the EHT saw him elevate to the MHL for a game while the bulk of his season was on the Yaroslavl club in the KHL, where he put up 7 points in 46 games patrolling the back end and seeing some playoff action with the less powerful Lokomotiv. Misyul's speed and puck rush from the back end are a hallmark. A scouting note that the Lokomotiv are very stingy giving minutes to teenagers in the top Russian Men's league is worth relaying here. Misyul on say, a Dinamo club may have had a dramatic effect on his point production, we will never know. What we do know is that he is quietly but surely raising his pro game ability and profile day by day. 94th oa 2019 -RW/C Graeme Clarke - (NJD 80th oa nhl) On the strength of Graeme's first 7 games in the AHL, we believe, he has been signed by his NHL club just last week to an ELC!! 2 goals 1 assist in 7 games after an incredible covid related layoff wherein he got only 16 games in all of 2020. if this is Graeme Clarke warming up for the season we are thrilled! Of his only 16 games last season, he did not disappoint: netting 17 points in 16 games in the OHL with the 67's. Of note is that Clarke was Canada's final cut from the World Juniors Championship team just two or three months ago, speaks well in and of itself. 97th oa 2019 -C Marcus Kallionkieli - (VGK 139th oa nhl) Marcus has just 9 games but 5 points in the Finnish SM-sarja, the HIFK U20 squad. THie season is just getting underway after his short 2020 season with the Brandon Wheat Kings of the WHL, where the fleet distributor notched 11 points in 24 games. Seemingly always on the plus side of the +-, and with a very low penalty count, Kalliankieli seems to be on a trajectory to an NHL two way middle six career. Two 'covid' years removed from his almost ppg work in the USHL, the coming year will be crucial for Marcus development but we have lots of time for this 2019 draftee who is still just 19 years old. 101st oa 2019 - Yaroslav Likhachyov - (undrafted in the nhl) Back in the Q for 23 games now, the QMJHL being one of the longer up and running leagues in North America during the covid crisis, Yaroslav is on fire with 12 goals and 16 assists during the 2020-21 campaign. A PPG player last season with the same Armada squad, he appears to be set to go over and above his last stats year. The diminutive forward is listed among the best undrafted players from 2019, a draft he only made the age cut for by 2 weeks! Still with 7 or 8 months to go to his 20th birthday, and with 1.22 points per game in the Q right now, we are thrilled to have gotten him with our 101st overall selection in his first draft eligible year. 114th oa 2019 - Michael Gildon (acquired via trade) - (undrafted in the nhl) The centerman has chosen the NCAA path, after going undrafted in the nhl entry draft, and his development has fallen off due entirely to covid. 8 Games last year and now just 19 this season, Michael is struggling to get started with 2 points and -4 +-rating. He seems sound in having only 6 penalty minutes over those two seasons however and we hope that he will pick up where he left off at the end of 2019 once covid passes out of the headlines. 29 points in 26 games in the USHL that year AND 45 points in 61 games with the US Development team bely an underlying skill level that may have simply gone dormant during these hard global health times. Our second prospect from the list of "best of the 2019 undrafted", we know MG is a project, but one we are happy to work on. At 6'2" 200 pounds at 19 years of age, and doing his best work in front of the net and in the corners, we feel that Michael could crack the NHL as a distributor doing the hard work of puck retrieval in the O zone. Every team has room for role players, and that is why we brought him in via trade all the way back in what seems like years ago: February 2020.
